Dr.Martin Luther king Jr was a Baptist minister and social activist. He led the civil rights movement and he used non violent protests to get the freedom that other blacks and himself deserved. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered this speech in a time of great civil unrest and the increasing of racial tensions. He showed many outstanding qualities ,perseverance,organizational ideas,dignity and respect. He was influenced by the idea of refusing to cooperate with an evil and unequal system.

Martin Luther King Jr. and Cesar Chavez were both people whose roles greatly influenced history to the way everybody is able to see it today where African Americans and Hispanics have more rights then they did in the 1960s. Martin Luther King fought nonviolently for the civil rights movement and change the way African Americans lived to a better way of living. Cesar Chavez also fought nonviolently for the civil rights movement but with Hispanics and Chavez worked to change the way farm workers were treated. Martin Luther King was a civil rights activist who joined the movement in 1957 and eventually became the leader of the civil rights movement. Martin Luther King was able to use nonviolence by using his ability of persuasive speaking to influence

He had to fight against society and the authority form this freedom. Martin Luther King was smart but also defiant. When he gave his speech and said “I have a dream that one day, down in the state of Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification…” (Phitheta Kappa 188) he was exposing the governor for his totalitarian sect. This section of the speech only mocked the governor for his comments and could be compared to the way Cool Hand Luke mocked the warden.

Martin Luther King Jr. Through his efforts for peace, equality, and justice for African-Americans throughout the 1950s and 60s, Martin Luther King Jr. created many opportunities for African-Americans for the future. Before Martin Luther King Jr., racism and racial segregation were very much accepted in society and were a common thing throughout the 1950s and 60s. While Martin Luther was preaching and protesting through the 50s and 60s, people all across America started to become more aware of how poorly African Americans were treated in almost every aspect of their lives. Everything that African Americans would do, they would be judged and discriminated.

“I Have a Dream” Courageous. Genius. Savior. These are just a few traits that Martin Luther King Jr. greatly portrayed. He believed that all people should have equal rights, regardless of their color or race.

Mythology is a collection of myths and stories belonging to a particular belief system or cultural tradition. Even though there are a variety of different myths taught around the world, Greek mythologies are more famously known for their fruitful stories and complex relationships. Greek mythologies mostly concern their gods and heroes such as; Hercules, Achilles, Theseus, and Perseus. Of the many Greek heroes, Jason is the most heroic due to the fact that although he is abandoned at a very young age, he is still able to survive, also he proves to Hera the goddess who hated heroes that he is worthy to be favoured by her, and he completes the impossible quest of the Golden Fleece. Jason is born in a very superior family, having a father who is the lawful king of Iolcus.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr is known for his strategy of nonviolent civil disobedience, which he used to advance the civil rights of black Americans who had been treated as second-class citizens for more than a century. King was an American Baptist minister, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He was a man that persuaded people worldwide to follow him during the Civil Rights Movement. King was a very passionate, caring man. A great leader that pushed and motivated blacks to achieve equal rights for all.

Hercules the noble teen ? Or a murderer ? Hercules was known for being a hero in the movie, but a murderer in the Myth. Hercules shows that he is a hero through the task he completes in the movie and the Myth. The different archetypes show that Hercules is two different characters in the movie and the myth.

The struggles Hercules faced in Greek mythology played a significant role in the way Ancient Greeks viewed heroism by demonstrating the importance of perseverance, the ability to overcome adversity, and selflessness. The Greek Myth of demigod Hercules is a prime example of a hero whose theme in his myth is overcoming struggles. Ancient Greeks knew Hercules well for his divine strength and outstanding courage. However, even with all the characteristics of heroism he possessed, he grew up with a good deal of childhood trauma. Hera, his stepmother, was extremely jealous of Hercules’ strength at a young age, which turned to extreme jealousy that influences how he grew up.

In this movie, Disney’s message seems to be summed up in the words of Zues when he tells Hercules “A true hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart.” These ‘words of wisdom’ come to Hercules after he finally attains godhood. Something he struggled to do because he believed that popularity polls and defeating monsters was all it took to be a hero. Before the movie’s climax he tells his Zues that he’s attained hero status because he’s “an action figure!” If heroism is something to be admired and strived for, then the message here is that popularity and public perception don’t necessarily make you a good or ‘heroic’ person.

Martin Luther King Jr. was the leader of peaceful protests and nonviolence for the segregation among blacks and whites while Malcolm X wanted to gain justice through any possible way even if it required violence. The Montgomery Bus Boycott made King a more prominent leader

Hercules was powered by emotion, whilst Theseus was inspired by possible self-accomplishment. Theseus’s father was a king, but Hercules’s father was Zeus. Theseus was killed by Aphrodite and Hercules committed suicide. They are both very respectable people with one’s strengths being the other’s weaknesses.

In American culture, people value role models and perfect citizens more than they did in Greek culture. Once Hercules becomes a hero, he does everything in his power to try and save the people of Greece. He uses his strength to get kids out from under rocks and to defeat many different monsters. He also risks his life to save Megara from death. In the myth, he also performs labors defeating many monsters, but he does not do them to save anyone.

One of the differences between the myth and the movie can be seen right in the beginning. Hercules is the son of Zeus and Hera, and not Zeus and one of his many mortal wives. Hera even cares about him, and so does Zeus. They have a party and everything.
