The debate surrounding gun control and gun violence has been an ongoing controversy in many communities and America as a whole. As gun violence increase each year, views and opinions are rising, which not only have created tension in communities, but also has become a major debate in society. Although some critics argue that guns bring an overall negative impact to the country, others comment that guns are crucial to the beliefs and views of people today as well as important to their culture. In the context of today's society, many people in America are viewing gun control as an infringement of their rights and its threat towards their ability to protect, thus questioning: To what extent should gun use and possession should be controlled?

Gun violence is a constant problem in the United States of America. It has affected society and out youth negatively in the past and will continue to affect the country as a whole if nothing is done about it. The country is in mourning due to the recent influx of gun violence related crimes. There are common-sense reforms that either side can agree on. These include improvements to backgrounds checks, revisions of the Second Amendment that accommodate the modern innovations to firearms and reinstating the Center for Disease Control's research on gun violence.

First of all, you are going to have to keep your firearm out of the reach of children so they would not have possession of the gun. A good place to put it would be on top of the shelf out of children 's eyesight, and do not keep in under a pillow because whenever you are sleeping, you heads could move a little bit and the weapon would go off. Now another important fact of firearms are to have the gun unloaded whenever it is put away. It should be unloaded because if something happens and it slips, it could fire anywhere. You would have to put the gun into a case because the case has ammunition holder so if you would have to ever use the weapon/firearm, you would have it close by.

By educating the public, gun responsibility and safety will increase and lower gun crime without compromising gun ownership. Implementing mandatory gun safety courses for first time buyers and a safety test for current owners, Americans can buy guns and also be educated in the responsibility that comes with gun ownership. This measure could potentially save local governments money as well since law enforcement would not need to spend time prosecuting gun violators due to negligence. In addition, gun education would also reform the way people think of guns, from the stereotypical gun toting violent individual to the educated, informed gun owner. The answer is not to limit our freedom, but to educate the responsibilities

Ready, Aim, Fire Through the past several years, the United States has experienced many different events changing the way people look at the world. Through this same time, it seems as if there has been an increase in the death toll to the lives of American citizens. From the bombing of the World Trade Center in 2001, to the Sandy Hook Shooting, the rate of mass killings in the U.S. looks to be at an all time high. President Obama and many other politicians believe that the answer to stopping all of these acts of terrorism is the further restriction of firearms in the country. The fact of the matter is, the further implication of restrictions to the right to keep and bear arms is not the key to stopping these mass murders.

To start off with we should insist on a mandatory training and licensing. Also put some focus into safe and secure gun storage training. The training should not be a one-time affair. Gun owners should be required to renew their permits regularly. As well as to regularly refresh their training so it stays fresh on their mind.

It is true that more care and knowledge is needed to ensure the safety of owning, selling and buying firearms. Stricter policies need to be put into effect at gun shows to make sure all vendors, even those selling personal collections, are conducting background checks. Registration of guns and better transfer records will also help keep them out of the hands of those who do not need them. The media needs to stop publicizing only gun related deaths and focus on other causes of deaths, this may also decrease the lack of respect towards law enforcement. The President Obama Administration depends on armed security to keep them safe, imagine if they were being guarded with pepper spray and fists, how safe would they feel then?

A gun is made to be used at its full capability.  Weapons are used also for protection over your family,(“A ban on assault weapons would not reduce crime”) also said, “ California 's murder rate increased every year for five years, twenty-six percent total. That is a perfect example of why some people feel the need to keep a gun or firearm in their homes, they are aware of the murder rate due to the media. People do not want to take a chance on someone hurting them so they feel the need to have one, witch is understandable because the murder rate has raised in the last 5 years there. You don’t want your firearm to not be able to be used to its maximum strength at a time if someone was to try to harm you, you would want it to be able to be used at its maximum strength to be able to protect you from harm.

In the CNN interviews Alexis Frazier from kamiah Idaho says “Firearms are a way of life “ she grew up around guns and hunters. To her firearms are also a sport and used hunting. From her earlier knowledge she knows “they are virtual tools for survival and have a special culture attached to their use” guns are not only used or owned by people for protection but also for hunting or because they enjoy the sport. All people who were interviewed said it 's extremely important to know how to operate a gun safely or stated that they know how to operate it safely.

You should have to go through some sort of class and proper care. You should have a constant checkup. I think all of this is worth it, because it’s worth it to save lives. I feel like we all need to make gun safety a lot more serious, because it’s not the old days anymore. Times have changed a ton and people have changed with it.

The question on whether the 2nd Amendment in the U.S. should be changed or not has become a widely discussed and argued topic as of recent, due to recurring incidents of shootings occurring on U.S. soil by its own inhabitants. While many would be in support of the right to bear arms, including myself, I do believe that the current gun laws need to be made more restrictive than they are in their current state, for the sake of the country and the safety of its people. I’m well aware that I am not a U.S. citizen and that I have no say in what decisions are made there regarding the country’s constitution, but I feel that what I have to say is shared by many of America’s people and that it’s not only Americans that are affected by guns but also those who are visiting the country from abroad. There are many problems regarding America’s very unrestrictive gun laws at present, whether it’s the fact that there is no federal minimum age for possession of a long gun, or the fact that individuals don’t

The use of and the owning of guns is a very hot and debated topic in society today. For many, this is a life and death debate due to the recent and numerous school shootings. These school shootings have caused an outcry for more gun control, specifically in relation to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Despite these calls, increased gun control is not the answer. Most gun owners’ use their guns responsibly and for good purposes.

I strongly believe, that firearms can be dangerous in the wrong hands that is why I believe firearms training is important. The best training consists of parents passing on our firearms heritage, respect for people and property, and some common sense safety rules to their children. Although for many people this training will be enough. Formal firearms training courses, like Hunter Safety Courses and the course required to obtain a concealed carry permit, are also very useful. Therefore, these courses reinforce the basic safety rules that everyone who handles firearms should know.

Everyday in the United States, ninety families are changed forever; guns claim an average of ninety lives every day in the United States, 33,000 lives in a single year. Gun control has been a debate in the United States for many years and is constantly thrusted back into the public’s attention by horrific shootings. These shootings constantly cause individuals to petition the government to place stricter and stricter regulations of guns. However, these policies cannot be the solution to this problem. To determine a solution that will be both effective and constitutional, we must look at statistics and research that has been conducted to determine the best course of action.
