Have you ever wondered what happens when a gun fires? I have been hunting for almost all my life and I have started to wonder about this. For my science fair project I 'm going to find the reaction of explosions. I also find this interesting because I want to make guns someday. I believe that understanding the Chemistry and Physics of explosions may help me to find the answer to my question. Chemical explosions are one of the coolest things on the planet. A chemical explosion is the sudden, loud, and violent release of energy that happens when something breaks apart in a way that sends flying around(Explosion). The chemical explosions starts from the chemical reaction(Getting a Bang Out of Breath Spray). . A chemical reaction is the way someone …show more content…
The Law of Inertia is the net force of the object greater than the gravity pulling it down and it will stay at rest until something happens(Getting a Bang Out of Breath Spray). It stays at rest until an unbalanced force makes the object go into motion( Getting a Bang Out of Breath Spray.) Is it true that when the kinetic energy of a canister launched straight up is at its maximum, the potential energy is near zero, and vice versa. It is false, the potential energy reaches its maximum during flight but returns to 0 when the canister reaches the ground(Getting a Bang Out of Breath Spray). What would a graph of pressure in the canister vs. time after spark ignition look like? At the beginning it would be zero and when you ignite it the pressure rapidly increases then once it hits the ground again the pressure would decrease rapidly(Getting a Bang Out of Breath Spray). The mass of the object being launched is equal to the mass of the reactants(Helmenstin, Anne …show more content…
The energy released and make the canister goes into the air(Getting a Bang Out of Breath Spray). How is the combustion of the film canister the same of the gasoline of a car engine? The combustion from the breathspray is the same as the gasoline in a car it makes it go into motion.(Brian, Marshall). The ethanal in the breath spray when is mixed with the oxygen(Getting a Bang Out of Breath Spray). The alcohol used in most breath sprays is "specially denatured." What does it mean to denature the alcohol. It means to take away natural qualities of the alcohol and add new ones(Getting a Bang Out of Breath
GSR is short for gun shot residue; the residue is created from a firearm being discharged. Residue is deposited on the hand or the clothes of the individual who discharged the firearm. The residue is made up of burnt and unburnt particles from the bullet and the cartridge case. GSR residue helps investigators to determine who fired the firearm and what type of firearm was used. In some cases it helps investigators know the distance of the shot that was fired based on the residue
It seems like everyday on the news there are shootings happening in he Us. Some are related to small crimes but others are mas shootings where many people are killed. In our country people get in fights and arguments. When you fight with someone and are really mad you need time think about the situation and to calm down.
The cannon fired solid ball shot but it also fired a variety of solid ball, known as Hot Shot. Hot Shot was a regular cannonball heated until it was red hot. Its primary function was to burn ships. During the Battle of Yorktown, the French gunners used hot shot to set a fire and sink the British Frigate HMS
Gunpowder is made up of saltpeter- a common name for the oxidizing agent potassium nitrate- sulfur and charcoal (Heather Whipps, 2008). When the Chinese scientists first mixed the ingredients together it resulted in smoke and flames, causing their hands and faces to burn (Heather Whipps, 2008). One of the first
Though any type of explosion is detrimental, the explosion would not be as powerful
Now to give you a perception of the destructive power of that explosion, I have this image. We are here, these blues circles are about 100 and 200 meters of diameter, no one within 100 meters of the blast would have survived and in the 200 meters people would be fatally or badly injured, the yellow is about 400 meters of diameter, at that distance people would likely be harmed by falling debris. Boom! Bang! the Bombard fires at the walls of Constantinople as they are crumbling to pieces and the Ottoman Turks take over. A Bombard was a type of a cannon that destroyed walls and castles. While studying the Bombards the three main things found out was who made it and why, the process of the cannon and how to conquer with the Bombard, what the most famous cannons and the size of them in general were and who used the cannons.
A non-lethal weapon that can replace a gun is…. Which non-lethal weapon has the best chance of replacing the gun? There are a few weapons that I think that has a good chance of being a good non-lethal weapon. Would you like to be in a world where you don’t have to worry about the law enforcement killing you with a lethal weapon.
When the bomb explodes it is 10 time hotter than the sun's surface, many people die instantly, and others have severe fire wounds that end up killing
After doing some more research, I have found that enemies do have the ability to hack, disable, or use our own robots against us. To start, the main way these situations can happen is with certain illegal tools that can jam up the frequency between the robot and the person controlling the robot, this is called radio frequency jamming. The main tool used to jam the frequencies is a tool called the Jamming Rifle which does what it sounds like. It is a portable tool that just like a rifle is pointed at the target but the trigger releases radio frequency that disrupts the connection between the robot and the person controlling it (“Radio Jamming Rifle Claimed To Disable Drones”). This will be the main weapon in futuristic fighting if robots are
For example whip cream is white so if you add food coloring four drops and mix it up, that is a chemical reaction. Gas molecules expand in the space they're in and if there is no top they will expand out of the container
Hydrogen bombs are more than 1000 times more powerful than the very common atomic bomb. The explosion is from nuclear fusion which is when hydrogen nuclei (plural of nucleus) are joined to form helium nuclei, releasing great destructive energy and radioactive fallout. When the nuclei combine there is a split second where there is nothing and then there is the explosion. An atomic bomb is the trigger or the smaller bomb of what sets off the hydrogen bomb. We have to be careful with the hydrogen bomb because, if used, it will cause a major catastrophe far greater than the damage done by the atomic bomb.
WildFire 18% OC Pepper Spray Leather Holster Model Weapons that are used by law enforcement authorities have certain safety features to avoid inflicting accidental discharge and self-injuries. The same thing goes for pepper sprays that are appropriate for civilian use. Two of the most important items that a hot pepper spray should have to fully maximize the purpose of your self-defense tool are the flip-top actuator and pepper spray leather holster. Both should not be left out as they are considered vital safety features of your device, and they promote efficiency in drawing your pepper spray the moment you need it when something bad happens.
Why Do Stars Explode By:Jadelyn Melara Have you ever wondered why stars explode? What do they have in them that may cause this, or even is the explosion caused by the atmosphere? Another thing to ask yourself would be how can the explosion of stra affect us? Will this always happen, or can it be stopped? Continue reading to find out more.
This equates to 88.45MJ of energy using the equation W= Fx. The required energy output of the catapult system must be variable. Smaller, lower mass aircraft will require less force to be exerted by the catapult to reach take-off velocity as compared to heavier aircraft with higher take-off velocities. There is a danger of over stressing the aircraft airframe if the exerted forces are too great and consequently reducing the aircraft lifespan.
