Gun Control: Debarring The Right To Bear Arms

On December 15, 1791, a well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms. The bill was approved by three-fourths of the United States. The 2nd Amendment was created, to provide citizens of the U.S. a form of private protection. However due to the increase of technology along with the rise of violence in modern time, many are beginning to question if we should remove the Amendment, and only grant members within militia organizations access to this Amendments right to bear weapons.

Does the second amendment prevent effective gun regulation? what is the right to bear arms?. The right to bear arms is to have weapons that are useful for protection when someone is trying to break into the peoples house or running up to the person and attacking him. The right to bear arms is the right to have protection, the second amendment has been a critical battle ground for the U.S because people say take the gun from people but the guns that they are takin is people that just stay at home they need to worry about drug dealers and gang members instead of civilians just resting at home so the battle ground for the U.S is they are taking the wrong peoples guns and doing that just cause more threat to the civilians who had guns for protection and those people are now trying to figure out how are they gonna defend themselves? how ar they gonna protect themselves if someone did break into their home?.

This is a second and deeper reason that the defense of the 2nd Amendment is essential to the defense of liberty. These founders had just been freed from the duty of war from a corrupt and harsh government, without their weapons or the weapons of the people; this country would not be where it is today.

The right to bear arms has been a controversial issue ever since James Madison established it as the second amendment of the constitution. Those in favor of the second amendment, believe that arms are used for protection, dangerous situations, and sports.

That statement is complete ignorance to what really goes on. The debate has many different viewpoints with some being as radical as banning guns to create a false sense of Utopia. With the recent events involving firearms and mass shootings, people are skeptical whether to increase or decrease gun laws. Americans have a constitutional right to own handguns and stricter laws and licensing will not effectively save lives.

This evidence shows that if more citizens were armed for example, the citizens in Texas, less crime would occur in America. Several restrictions have been made on certain guns, considered as overly dangerous, though in the hands of an unstable criminal even a legal hunting gun can be deadly. Countless restrictions have been made, however people have still found ways around them. If people are unstable and determined enough, they will find a gun, regardless of the restrictions or regulations.

Gun control also limits our constitutionally derived right to own firearms. If gun control is enforced, law-abiding citizens will be forced to give up their guns and their right to own guns, while many criminals who own guns may illegally keep theirs. As the saying goes “If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.” Guns are an important aspect of our society in many ways. They allow for protection, recreation, and hunting.
