One of the preeminent fine dining restaurant is Gringo’s. Gringo’s is a renowned authentic Mexican restaurant located at Southwest Freeway and West Airport Boulevard that offers various Mexican dishes. It was first opened in Pearland in 1993, and since then has opened at three different locations in Houston. Gringo’s is usually jammed with people, and one must wait at least fifteen minutes before getting a table. Even though people have to wait, they still find Gringo’s as an eminent restaurant because of its exceptional customer service, delicious food, and for the amount of food they receive. As I walked into Gringo’s a week ago, I observed the warm welcome, as the hostess welcomed me into Gringo’s. After only fifteen minutes of waiting, I was accompanied to my table. The restaurant was well decorated as there were paintings on the wall, along with the deer horns. I received a great vibe just by being there. After a few minutes, I was served with some free chips and dips. I ordered a “Pollo Marisco” which was exceptionally delicious. At the end, I was able to get a free ice cream on my way out, and was delighted with the way I was treated. …show more content…
The staff at Gringo’s was really friendly towards their customers. The waiters and the hostess greeted everyone and were able to take their orders without any issues. Additionally, the quality of food was amazing. The food was fresh and hot as it arrived towards the table. Moreover, Gringo’s is able to adjust and change the menu. For instance, if an individual is a vegetarian, then the chefs can replace chicken with tofu, or other vegetables. Moreover, Gringo’s provide free chips, and ice creams to their

He reports that the food in Buenos Aires was quite good and he was especially fond of the empanadas. He also enjoyed the good restaurants that were close by the apartment he stayed in. The apartment was owned by an Argentinian couple and Lloyd shared his room with one other student. The family was very nice and had a nice, older dog who got along well with everyone. Neither the owners of the apartment or Lloyd's roommate spoke any English, so Lloyd truly got to experience Spanish immersion.
In the article, "How The Taco Counquored America" it states how sometimes food from other countries changes when they come to the U.S.. First, people move around the world and lose connection with their homeland. For example, Rachel L. Swarns moved away from the bahamas and started to lose her way of life. She lost connections with family and friends in the bahamas, and her kids won 't eat her dishes from her culture. Second people might choose other food compared to their food.
The shelves are lined with traditional Spanish staples such as rice, beans, and less healthy options like CoCoRico, a Puerto Rican Soda, and 50 cent snacks, high in sugar, fat, and carbs. These communities hold the highest rates of diabetes, obesity, and heart disease in the nation. To combat this, the Healthy Bodega Initiative was passed.
Being Mexican American in The United States, I wanted to learn more about my culture and the impact Mexicans or Mexican Americans have had in the community or the communities surrounding me. Researching historical places, I stumble upon Olvera Street. Olvera Street is known to be the first pueblo in what today we call Los Angeles, California. When Olvera Street was founded in 1781, it was called El pueblo de Nuestra Señora Reina de Los Ángeles, which translate to “The Settlement of Our Queen of Los Angeles.” After googling Olvera Street and noticing that I live a couple of miles away, I decided to take a small trip.
The restaurant is authentic but it is missing some components in my eyes. A good Mexican restaurant has to have 3 things, a variety of beverages, good beans and rice, and how can you forget some spicy hot sauce. The parking lot for El Burrito Loco is large but it shares the lot with other businesses since they are located in the strip mall. Finding a parking spot is never a problem making it convenient.

To the readers the purpose seem to be that he is trying to prove that its not easy. He starts as off by telling us that his in Arizona. He describes his surroundings by plainly stating how the sky is very blue and how close it is to Mexico.
My dad convinced us that he wanted Uncle Julio’s Mexican food, therefore we decided to eat there due to the fact that hostess said we could get a table immediately. After parking the car in the deserted parking lot, I walked in the restaurant first and began conversing with the hostess about finding a table. I found it strange when

Walking into Gallos made me feel like I was at home in Arizona in an old fashioned mexican restaurant. The outside has an adobe mud house look to it with faded red paint to accent some walls making it seem very hispanic with a cowboy feel to it. As you are walking up to the entrance of the restaurant you see these two big glass doors with a trim that was stained very dark. The inside looked like a normal mexican restaurant, I mean you wouldnt walk in this restaurant not knowing what kind of food they serve. But it did have more of a western feel to it.
The noise the customers made was immense which reminded me how popular a place this is. I made my way to the coffee bar at the end of the shop made of reclaimed wood. A barista stood before me. He welcomed me with a charming smile. I got my cup of Americano and paid for it in the next counter.
