Today we will be visiting the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial in Washington D.C. It was dedicated by Barack Obama and was established in October of 2014. Good times to visit are from 10 am to 4 pm. The must see list is The voices of the Veterans, the reflecting pool, and the star fountain & ceremonial flame. First we will be seeing the Wall of Gratitude and is a quote from George Washington from 1783.
Joining the sisterhood of Kappa Kappa Gamma has enhanced my life in many ways. Throughout the past year, I not only met the friends that will be with me for the rest of my life, but met the people I call family. Every member of this sisterhood has encouraged me to be a better version of myself. In particular, this past semester, living in the chapter house and being surrounded by this amazing family throughout most of my day has increased by GPA, improved my mental and physical health, and decreased the stress that comes with being in college.
Thank you for taking the time to speak with me yesterday. I am honored to be considered for this valuable investment and excited for the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated, service-oriented movers and shakers. Pat Tillman Scholarship would be an incredible support to me and would both acknowledge my own journey and reinforce my belief in the necessity of education as a tool for more impactful service. It would truly be a privilege to uphold the banner of Pat Tillman’s legacy. Although I did not know him directly, to me, one of the most inspirational parts of his story is the commitment to his decisions.
I firmly believe that i deserve this award granted by the Courage to Grow Scholarship. Education is greatly important to me and my future. No one in my family has ever attended college and I know that I can change that. I may come from a poor family but it is my goal to be successful in the career i choose.
I, once again, would like to reiterate the honor I feel in receiving this scholarship and how my education has been one of the saving aspects of my
Marching band; copious amounts of people scoff at the sound of those words. I often hear students commenting on how easy marching band is, how we don’t train like the football players do. At Anderson High School, that’s not the case, the marching band trains for just as long. As a band of over 125 individuals, it takes determination, pride, and confidence to achieve the goals we have set forth to accomplish. As a leader of the saxophone section, I know what it’s like to face failure, to overcome and turn it into success and to march on with confidence.

Mind you one year ago I possessed not one single plan on going to college. I am finally ready to face my fear of the real world and get my foot in the door. By receiving this scholarship, I have that extra nudge of “you’ve got this” and additional reassurance that I have never developed until now, and I am confident to make everyone surrounding me
Being such an active member, and juggling school along with a part time job at Pizza Hut, I was fortunate enough to get two scholarships from the FFA Alumni Association. These accomplishments and the money awarded are helping me pay for the books I’m using in college today. My hard work as an FFA member and officer had definitely paid
Hello, my name is Colin Balnave, I’m a seventh grader from Norup International School, the middle school you decided to mail a letter to. I have decided to join the “Amazing Mail Race”, and I was very interested in the idea of that. As I said before, my name is Colin Balnave. I love playing tennis, soccer, and football. I other favorite hobby other than sports is video games.
This scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for students of GVSU, and I am honored to be considered for this scholarship. I believe that I am a great applicant for this scholarship, and that I deserve this scholarship. One reason I deserve this scholarship is because of my strong academic courses. Throughout my high school career, I pushed myself academically by taking a total of 10 AP classes and 7 honors classes. These classes were all challenging, yet I pushed through with determination to complete the classes to the best of my ability.
Galactic News: It 's an honor to be talking to you today Mr. Sunce. May I ask you how you became a star? Mr. Sunce: Well you see, I didn 't exactly have parents like you human folk. I came from a solar nebula, which as you probably know is a giant, rotating cloud of gas and dust.
