(U)This paper will evaluate Master Yoda from the movie star wars. It will discuss if Master Yoda should remain and teach Jedi form IV also known as Ataru to the young Jedi’s by reviewing Master Yoda’s capabilities, accomplishments, strength, weakness, and come to an conclusion if Master Yoda Qualifies for the duty. (U)Master Yoda who was one of the most powerful Jedi in the Galaxy, and one of the few Old Republic Jedi to survive and experienced between 894 BBY- 4ABY during the Galactic Civil War. In nine centuries Master Yoda have trained almost every Jedi’s in the galaxy. Master Yoda is only few Jedi’s who have achieved legendary mastery of all forms of lightsaber.

One of these excellent writings include, Guys vs. Men written by Dave Barry. In 1997, Barry was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary. He had writings published in over 500 states and abroad.

Do the Right Thing Essay Spike Lee’s film Do the Right Thing portrayed the struggle between young Blacks and the problems that they face. They are put in situations where whatever they choose to do could be considered wrong by people that aren’t Black, hence the title Do the Right Thing. How do they know what the right thing to do is? Has the violent culture in their neighborhoods and their relationship with police officers given them limited choices?

Hannery O’ Connor’s short story is about a Misfit that has a conflict in his life which lead him into making bad decisions in the future that harm him. In “A Good Man is Hard to Find”, O’ Connor uses symbolic archetypes by using the grandmother as a symbol of love and care and also uses the Misfit as a symbol of violence and death. The situational archetype used is when the Misfit takes vengeance on people that come his way. This is because of self-petty. The setting archetype used in the short story takes place in the dirt road where all the violence happened.

Does a “Good” Man Exist? The morbid tale of a family’s encounter with a The Misfit makes them question the meaning of good. Aristotle’s teaching on good states that good cannot be defined, which contradicts what the grandmother believes. She thinks that her way is the best.

“What would even Jesus do?” (Wallace 155). “Good People” is a short story written by, David Foster Wallace about Lane and Sherri, a young religious couple facing the consequences of an unplanned pregnancy. Lane contemplates his feeling towards Sherri and his Christian beliefs. In “Good People” Lane A. Dean Jr. is the main character desperate to be a good person.

This essay tries to answer two philosophical points of view the Platonic which is more about living a good and just life or the Machiavellian which is summed up by; the means justify the ends. Both of these views have their own ethical way to bring about justice in the beholders eyes. The scene I’m going to use portrays the final part of the trial of Private Santiago's murder, Colonel Jessup is testifying and being cross examined by Lieutenant Kaffee, from the film A Few Good Men.

The Purpose of Psychopaths in “A Good Man Is Hard to Find” In the short story “A Good Man Is Hard to Find,” a family of six meets their demise on the side of the road in Georgia after a gang of convicts lead by The Misfit brutally murders each member of the family. The story starts off in an upbeat tone and sets up a seemingly happy plot about a family going on vacation to Florida. However, the grandmother does not listen to her son about taking her cat on the trip and her disobedience ultimately leads to all of their deaths. The author changes the tone of the story at the end when the family gets into a wreck and faces a gruesome death by a crazed armed killer on the loose (O’Connor#).

Comparison/Contrast Essay 1 “Good People” and “Hills Like White Elephants” are stories that portray young couples facing an unwanted pregnancy and the decision of whether to terminate the pregnancy or keep the child. Jig in “Hills Like White Elephants”, is headstrong and knows what she wants to do about the pregnancy, will have the baby and the American will likely stay with Jig. Despite the decision she make concerning the pregnancy, his feelings of affection are genuine for her and the child. In the story “Good People” Sheri will likely terminate the pregnancy despite her religious convictions.

In a "Good Man Is Hard to Find" by Flannery O 'Connor, the contrast of good and evil is not as evident as it appears on the surface. The road that the family in the story travels symbolizes good up until the point the grandmother all but forces the family to make a detour onto a dirt road that leads to their demise. She is the unlikely antagonist in the story. A serial killer named, The Misfit, is the protagonist despite his homicidal actions. Both characters in the story help to illustrate how a relationship with God is perceived good and sacrilegious behavior is perceived evil.

In Kay S. Hymowitz’s essay “Where Have the Good Men Gone?” published in the Wall Street Journal she claims that all men go through a phase known as pre-adulthood, and that this phase does not bring out the best in them. Pre- adulthood is when young men live in an in-between state of adulthood and adolescents. “Today’s pre-adults are…a major demographic event.” Hymowitz discuss the way a man’s place in society has drastically changed since they began entering pre-adulthood.

In her short story “A Good Man Is Hard to Find”, Flannery O’Connor introduces the reader to a world of family issues, danger, and murder. The story was written in 1955 during a period of social and racial unrest in the southern United States. Mostly, the story follows O 'Connor 's basic Southern Gothic writing style. A work that is "cold and dispassionate, as well as almost absurdly stark and violent" (Galloway). While the quote gives major insight into the theme of the story, it does not offer a glimpse into O 'Connor 's real message of the story.

Morgan Devitt Professor Teem ENGL 1101 2 December 2014 Moral Code In Flannery O’Connor’s short story, ‘A Good Man Is Hard to Find’ O’Connor reflects her views on society through the Misfit and the grandmother. Throughout the story, the characters display what they think are definitions of a good man, but O’Connor shows us that a man who follows correct moral code and is honest is the real definition of a good man. The grandmother throughout the story does little things that break her own moral code.
