Genji has the quality of a honorable samurai for he had kept his mother's word before she had died. One example when Genji was honorable was when he told seikei that when he helps kazou and finishes he will get to eat. In my opinion Genji is an actual that is really honorable for what he did for seikei.Another time that Genji was being honorable was when he was young when he had kept his mother's words which was to disgrace lord Hakuseki in front of the shogun. The bad side about Genji is that he stole the jewel from lord Hakuseki and he fooled every on by making it look like that he has done things to the jewel, in other words he doesn't follow the way of the bushido
Other characteristics that Genji shows that he is a samurai was the loyalty. Genji had been loyal to his family name who were Kirishitans. After the day Genji’s family had died he had kept the name until he had seen lord disgraced on front of the shogun. He was loyal when he had helped seikei travel to Edo. In my opinion when Genji had kept the family name from dying is that he is loyal enough to have the religion keep
The book unbroken is about a man named louie zamperini. It talks about the horrors he faced during and after the war such as ptsd, torture, starvation and meny more. In this essay i will talk about the 3 most important traits that led to him forgive his former captors. As well as the one who tortured him the most during his time being a POW and and in his nightmares. The 3 most important traits that led him to forgive them were bravery, determination, and his motivation.
A person who shows these traits would have the courage to not be scared if they are punished for doing a good action. They would show bravery and never be held back by the thoughts of death or even being brandished
Samurais and knights The samurais and the knights have a lot of differences, but they also have a lot in common. This was going on during the medieval time. It was going on between the samurais and the knights. It was going on in two places, in japan and in europe. Were similarities between the samurais and the knights were greater than the differences.
According to the Mental Health Foundation, “Friendship can play a key role in helping someone live with or recover from a mental health problem and overcome the isolation that often comes with it.” This displays how amity is an important factor when people are facing with obstacles in their lives. In the novel, The Samurai’s Garden, Gail Tsukiyama portrays the same idea through the character, Sachi who is an old woman with leprosy. Sachi becomes friend with Matsu, a house caretaker of the main character. Later on, she befriends Michiko, another woman with the same disease.

Despite the human flaws that each knight bears, all three knights represent knighthood and the chivalric code because of its importance in medieval society. The author of “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight” describes Sir Gawain as the “most courteous knight” (215) in Arthur’s court because he models chivalry ideally. Gawain’s chivalric traits
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight In the Pearl Poet’s Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, an epic story emerges to reveal a man’s journey of honor, honesty, valor, and loyalty. Throughout Gawain’s adventures in the poem, he discovers and demonstrates his own chivalric qualities. Although he makes a few mistakes along the way he strives to be an honorable man.
The pentangle on Gawain's shield is represented between five virtues. These virtues are friendship, generosity, chastity, courtesy, and piety. Each virtue displays the characteristics of a knight
You do not need to have any sort of characteristic to be courageous, anyone can be it and some people don’t even realise it sometimes when they are. In Gawain’s experience, underneath it all, he wanted to prove to himself that he was worthy of being a knight and that he obtained chivalry and knighthood and carried it with him everywhere he went. It is true to say that he proved himself and the theme of courage is treated positively because of him as he was always true to
The ideals of Christian morality and knightly qualities are represented by Gawain’s gold, star-shaped pentangle. The five knightly virtues that Sir Gawain expresses are: generosity, chastity, friendship, piety, and courtesy. From the beginning of the poem, Sir Gawain portrays his generosity by agreeing to cut the Green Knight’s head with an axe. He makes this decision after King Arthur fails to do so (Cathell, 2014).
The sacrifices of a samurai were not easy. They gave up their own lives to serve the lives of their masters. By doing so, they would miss major achievements of their own children and were just a thought or memory to friends and families. Samurais had to face the toughest training and endured gruesome battles. At the same time, about 4,200 miles away (6,772 km), European knights were doing the same.
The aspects of beauty and art are especially important as Kukai, an influential Buddhist monk at the time, argued that beauty was linked to the Buddhist truths while beauty was linked to the divine nature of things. So in describing Genji as outstanding in terms of art and
