Dulce Ramos - Martinez 11/3/16 Ghost Girl The book I read is called Ghost Girl. Ghost Girl is a book written by Torey L. Hayden, who has written other books that are around the same topic as this one. This book has 307 pages and is nonfiction. The main focus of this book is around a girl named Jadie (Jade) who keeps on talking about all of these weird things while Torey is trying to help. The story begins with Torey driving over from the city, and where she used to live, over to a small town called Pecking because she accepted a job as a teacher for disabled students. She gets there and gets set up and ready to meet the children. The principal stops by and introduces the kids to Torey. The first child to arrive is a boy named Reuben who has autism. The next child’s name was Jadie (Jade) who was an elective mute. The next children were Philip and Jeremiah. Philip was couldn’t really speak and was frightened easily. The last child, Jeremiah, was only put there because his parents decided to after he kept on getting in trouble at school. …show more content…

Torey has worked with mute children because that was what she decided to study in college. She tells Jadie that she can help her and Jadie then ends up believing that Torey is God. During the school year Torey and the Children have all they ups and downs. Near the middle of the school year Jadie starts stopping by at the end of the day to visit Torey and just talk and play. During that Torey just watches her studying her behavior. The year passes by with a few incidents and Torey learning more about Jadie’s life and the people that haunt her. Then at the end of the year an accident happens after the end of the school picnic they had. Philip was hurt and Jadie then runs away to her house after knowing that she is in trouble for it.
