Animal Farm by George Orwell is an allegorical story to the Russian Revolution due to the characters and plot points mirroring events and people in the Russian Revolution. The story takes place on a farm in England in which animals revolt against their human owner Mr Jones. Within that farm they decide to go towards animalism, which is the belief that animals should take over of their farm and go by commandments to keep peace within that farm. But then power is over thrown throughout the book by main character Napoleon, a pig who thinks he is superior due to being a pig and many other pigs who think the same. Some animals are worked to death and rules are changed within the farm power corrupts by the over powering of the pigs.

Capitalism: Pro and Con by Phil Washburn is a philosophical debate seeking for reading to determine whether capitalism is a respectable way of society that provides the most sensible format of government for justice to thrive. The author first seeks to analyze the good of capitalism mentioning that it is the most practical answer for the issues that arrive from the idea of Justice. The key factors for the pro-capitalist society is people can succeed and or fail, government allows the economy to proliferate on its own, and most importantly what a person gives to society (making a living for themselves) is what they are able to take from it (profit and consumerism) (Washburn, pg.155). One of the major differences between capitalism and communism is who controls the resources. In a communist environment, the government has full control of resources; in a capitalist country, the resources’ are the owner’s responsibility. In the US “We, the people” have full ownership of our property; in North Korea, however, they have no real ownership of their property, the government owns it. America is a classed society, as most know as being the lower, middle, and upper classes for the poor, middle wealth, and rich, respectively. Since wealth is distributed somewhat equally in a communist economy, this system is nonexistent.

Animal Farm uses the theme to start the book and shows how people, or animals in this case, can come together to fight oppression and tyranny. The animals become inspired by a speech given by a respected elder and the pigs take control of a group rebellion to overthrow the farmer. They believe that in this movement they will free themselves from the slavery they endure and become their own masters. ‘"Is it not crystal clear, then, comrades, that all the evils of this life of ours spring from the tyranny of human beings? Only get rid of Man, and the produce of our labour would be our own.

I read a book called, “Animal Farm” written by George Orwell. The book is about animals on a farm who are overworked and aren 't treated well. Then, an insurgency made up of animals with pigs as their leaders, rebel against Mr.Jones (owner of the farm) by driving him off his farm. The animals try to make the perfect life for themselves, but that doesn’t go as planned. The animal farm then starts to fail.
