Being a great leader is not dependent on what you have accomplished yourself, it is shown by how you have impacted others' lives. I have come through a never-ending process of education, self-study, and social interactions to become a true leader figure. Being academically successful has been a big priority of mine. I have proved my academic dedication through my 4.0 GPA which is the first step to complete to grow as a bigger leader in the National Honors Society. My whole life, I have challenged myself by taking more advanced classes such as AP courses because I thought being intelligent is one of the keys to helping me become a bigger leader. During the past two years of my high school experience, I have adopted and developed a strength as a leader through the dedicated experience of being a part of the Ca$h club, partners PE, Key Club, and Chick-fil-A team members. …show more content…
One of my values is my talent for capturing moments and memories through photography. I am currently serving as a historian position of the Ca$h Club to add value to the club and other individuals. In freshmen year, I attended a partner's PE course that led me to help special needs students with their physical activities and social lives. It required me to have a lot of courage, respect, empathy, and understanding. I observed each student and each one's preferred learning style and encouragement. I was able to build strong connections with each student, and I am still maintaining those relationships that I built in my sophomore year even though I am no longer in the
Numerous people have recommended me to be an amazing role model for the others around me. Various of my school projects were used as examples for other students and will be used throughout the upcoming school years. People depend on me in the classroom, and I follow through by helping them. I lead groups with my friends to study for subjects we’re having trouble with. I lead children in my after school care program to do activities, or when they can’t figure out how to play games fairly.
Its hard being a great leader, there were many leaders before us that we have to look up to and see what we have to do to do better than what they did. Qualities Leader possess to make things happen. Fredrick Douglass didn’t just wait around to see what would happen if he did this or if he did that. He took action to freeing all the slaves and writing a book about his life. Douglass wanted to change what he had grown up knowing his whole life.
The qualities of a great leader is that that person is a very considerate, responsible and prepared person. They are considerate of people 's different ideas, also great leaders are responsible by helping people stay on task, prepared with all the materials needed and are prepared to help out with any conflicts that could happen. Being a member of the National Junior Honor Society will help me be able to grow into a great school and community leader because of being able to help the community, giving back to charities and helping out school activities. Also, being in NJHS will help me expand my knowledge of ways I can give back to the community which is very important for me to learn. Finally, the main difference between a good leader and a great leader is that a great leader will bring out people’s potential and will get their work done, but a good leader will not bring out people 's potential and will only get the work
I was taught to work hard and never give up. Leadership is also a very important pillar in the National Honor Society. A leader is a person who guides others with their actions or words and influences others in a positive way. I feel that I am a leader in many ways. I participate in many different
Acquiring leadership skills along with a strong character and the sense to serve others is vital. A leader should be resourceful, dependable, selfless, and a good problem solver. I have led in many ways- inside and outside of school. Last year as a tenth grader, I was class secretary for Class Council.
My education provides the foundation for my future. In order to ensure my success, I must also continue to engage in service projects. My involvement in community service with National Honor Society has kindled
Although I had to overcome many obstacles, the concept of determination was especially important throughout the journey. I have worked very hard to earn the opportunity to even be considered for National Honors Society. Another quality I can speak to is my positive attitude. There are many qualities that make up a good leader, and I hope that I can set an example for others. I provide creative ideas, I am very passionate about everything that I am involved in, I have a drive for success, and do not break under pressure, especially in a leadership role.
" A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves" Lao Tzu. I intend to become a leader known for his ability to understand and guide when he is needed and to provide inspiration when he is not. Some of the most powerful and influential leaders we strive to be like today, such as Martin Luther King and Gandhi, lead by inspiring their followers instead of micromanaging and telling everyone exactly what to do and when to do it. It is hard to dispute that powerful words mean less than actions, one of the best examples is Adolf Hittler, he is known as one of the greatest leaders of all time but as every one knows he is responsible for a world war and the death of at
Throughout my high school career, I was forced into many situations where I was challenged to connect with my peers and serve as a role model for future students. Whether it be my involvement in the school marching band, or helping students in community tutoring sessions, I have always made it my goal to better the people around me through my own efforts. Throughout my high school career, I have put forth my best effort to connect with my peers, transform individuals, and make a difference in my community. Joining the school marching band at the beginning of my freshman year of high school was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
While a leader can be defined as the person who commands a group or as the one who is selected to run the show and call the shots per say, our 6th president John Quincy Adams embodied the character traits of a true leader. Although he only served one term as president, his leadership and service to our nation as both a diplomat before his presidency and in the United States House of Representatives after his presidency exemplify that a leader does not have to be elected to the top office to shape an organization even as important as our nation. In middle school, I decided I would try out for our school competition cheer squad that competes at a high level in the sport. I practiced with an older member of the team for several weeks to prepare for the tryout day.
Throughout my years in high school, I have through many different activities that require many different leadership qualities. Every activity I have participated in I had to pick up on time management, responsibility, and leadership. These are all things that I used now rather it is at work, school, or any appointments out of school. The qualities show in what I do and I try my best to get everything I can do. Even when activities overlapped each other I still made time the next day I could to get or do anything I needed to do.
Because of the time I have taken to genuinely learn about their interests, I’ve grown closer to my students and know them so much better as
I am currently aware that due to my academic record, it illustrates that I did not reach the minimum academic qualifications for participation in the UC Education Abroad Program for Italy+Spain 2018. Therefore, I am putting forward this letter as a reconsideration for my application for participation in the UCEAP. This past Spring semester, I made the sudden decision and consider wanting to study abroad. I recognize that my present grades are not to your satisfactory, but they do not reflect the student I am.
Generally speaking, a leader is a person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. To be a successful leader I also agree that one needs to have certain characteristic and skills. A leader needs to be able to simple lead, as you have stated. They need to direct and guide people to fulfill shared goals. Communication is also another huge skill. A leader needs to be able to clearly communicate, build relationships, motivate others, inspire others, and be a role model to create a positive work environment and culture that will accept change and innovation in the company.
