The earth is heating up 500 billion tons of ice will collapse. Then one and a half feet of sea level will rise and then the water would move 150 feet inland in Florida. If this keeps up the world will slowly but surely heat up. Without humans trying to help the environment the world could flood. Some of the problem is Human responsibility and how it is ruining the earth and how the environment and nature will fall because of Global Warming.
A lot of people have admitted to human responsibility for global warming. Some of the reason is fracking. Fracking is when the process of injecting liquid at high pressure to force open cracks in the ground to extract oil or gas. Fracking combines to produce 50% of CO2 into the earth 's atmosphere. However fracking basins

These problems are not going to fix themselves without help the plant will warm up 0.6 celsius without any greenhouse gases influence. According to meteorologists from 1890 to 1990 temperatures have risen 0.72 degrees fahrenheit to 1.26 degrees fahrenheit. In fact through the 20th century global temperatures have rises 1.4 degrees fahrenheit which could lead to surface temperatures increasing. There has been efforts to help with global warming considering from 1998 to 2009 $99 billion dollars have been spent on climate change.
Therefore these effects could be substantial. Scientists believe that the destruction of trees is a adding reason to the cause of global warming. Also the IPCC has estimated that if the climate rises 1.5 degrees celsius to 2.5 degrees celsius that 20% to 30% of plants would have high risks of extinction. The same would go for animals if the temperature continue to increase the same percentages of animals could face extinction as well. Now in the last 50 years heat waves, droughts, and flood have all increased. 125 billion tons of ice melt per year and that is enough to rise sea levels 0.35 millimeters a
deMause wrote, “Of the many troubling side effects of fracking-which run from the ground-water contamination to increased earthquake activity-one of the most worrisome is its impact on climate change” (549). The natural gas technique for extraction is the process of cracking open underground rock layers containing oil and gas deposits and blasting them open with a high pressure chemical slurry. The effects are negative causing water contamination with a possible impact on climate change because of the exploding
SUMMARY Journalist, Nick Stockton, in the article, “Fracking’s Problems Go Deeper Than Water Pollution,” published in June 2015, addresses the topic of hydraulic fracturing and argues that fracking has more negative consequences than one might think. Stockton supports his claim first by appealing emotionally through a short summary of a recent event involving fracking and also by utilizing evidence to back up his statements. The author’s overall purpose is to highlight outcomes of fracking in order to make more people aware of issues that can arise from this common way of obtaining energy. Stockton utilizes a scientific, yet critical tone in order to create an unbiased article and appeal to his audience’s concern for the well being of the
FRACKING AND ITS CRITICISM Since the mid-80s, The First Nations and their leaders have raised numerous concerns about the failure of the government and industries in Canada to properly consult them before developing any of their lands. Fracking is a technique used in stimulating the fracturing of rocks through the use of pressurized liquid. The fluid used comprises of hot water, sand, and proppants that are thickened using appropriate agents. The fluid enters the deep-rock and makes it possible to have natural gas, petroleum and brine flow up. If the pressure is removed, the grains in the proppants are capable of keeping the fractures while open.
In 1949, Fracking was introduced as a way to obtain oils and fuels. In the following analysis I will outline some controversial issues as well as some benefits of facking. Why do you think that fracking is controversial? When fracking was introduced, the oil and fuel companies saved time and money with these fuels and oils. Analysis
Fracking has many environmental impacts on the world we live in. We should strive to keep a sustainable living community for future generations. One issue about fracking that interests me is the environmental damage of the land and water. Fracking requires a large amount of land. Once you target the area you want to use for fracking, you have to cut down all of the existing trees and create roads for the trucks.
Proposition P================ Propostion P was advanced by an advocacy group known as the Santa Barbara Water Guardians, mainly to prohibit the usage of hydraulic fracturing (i.e fracking) within Santa Barbara, threatening its water supply. As such, Proposition P is absolutely essential, not only to ensuring the health of residents in Santa Barbara, but to ensuring long term social, economic, and environmental stability. Where opponents to Proposition P may tend to make arguments which solely favor the number of jobs in the community, or which perhaps presume the importance of the oil industry in Santa Barbara, over other concerns in the community, these other concerns need to be considered more fully in order to illustrate why support of Proposition P is absolutely essential.================
Introduction- Hydraulic fracturing or as we know it, fracking Is natural gas that trapped in tiny pockets in shale rock formation. Fracking involves injection of large amounts of water, sand and chemicals underground at high pressure to extract fuel. Environmental groups and some neighbors of oil and gas wells have linked fracking to water pollution and some have linked it to increased earthquake activity. Fracking is Regional and a old problem- When fracking started-
Fracking consumes two hundred and fifty billions gallons of water from two thousand and four to two thousand and fourteen. In that time frame fracking also produced two hundred and ten billion in waste water. That is a lot of water that could be put to good use besides fracking. While people say fracking is does not use that much water in the long run it is still harmful to our environment to produce that amount of waste water. While it is better than most because it uses less than one percent of water nation wide it is still just as bad.
Some people say fracking is harmful to the environment by damaging nature and by causing water pollution. Some claim that fracking is damaging nature and the landscape; however, there is actually a new technology that help reduce the amount of wells that have to be made. In addition, some people claim that fracking contaminates the groundwater, even though there is no scientific evidence that fracking contaminates groundwater. As a result the National Groundwater Association and the government agency which represents the states have found no evidence that fracking is ruining the drinking water. (No Evidence of Groundwater Contamination from Fracking)
With the increased scale of fracking in Texas, one might wonder if the oil boom is affecting our water supply. The value of water in Texas is deeply cherished considering Texas’s dry climate and long-standing droughts. One may even wonder if Texas is valuing its water as much as it is its oil. As research furthers, we can begin to weigh the positive and negative effects of oil fracking. By providing overwhelming data on oil fracking
Fracking: A Crime against Humanity As a law abiding citizen, I cannot conceive or be an advocate of fracking, without questioning its impact on Earth’s layers; and its role in the increment of frequency of earthquakes, contamination of water, and the related human health hazards. While fracking is helping the U.S. to extract shale gas, which is basically trapped between fine sedimentary rocks, the liabilities are overwhelming. In the field of fossil fuel, these rocks are well-known as stale and its exploitation is supporting American’s population, in obtaining the most needed fossil fuel. Deplorably, the risks seem unbeatable.
Many people on our planet live in some type of environment. If one lives at the equator the climate it warmer than someone who lives near the poles. As the Earth rotates around the sun, seasons will change depending on which side the Earth is closer to. Winds also affect the climate and the environment. However a big factor that is coming into play with the environment is human activity.
Global warming is a big problem that we have to face nowadays. If you search Google for the word “global warming’, you will get over 70 million pages of results. The subject has certainly drawn a lot of attention. And now I will talk more about “what is global warming” , the cause and the effects it has on the earth and also some possible solutions for this problem.
When large storms hit land with these increased sea levels it causes large storm surges that can destroy anything in its paths. If temperatures continue to rise other natural disasters could occur ("Global Warming Will Produce More Katrina-Like Storms"). A warmer wetter atmosphere could spawn more tropical storms and there will be floods in places that do not get much rainfall. Humans could prevent these problems if they were to cut down on the use of fossil fuels and use more renewable energy. Renewable energy consists of wind, solar, and lunar power.
Now another natural cause of global warming is the rising of the seas. The biggest reason for sea level rising is that global warming is causing the air to be warmer and that 's causing glaciers and ice-caps to melt. Sea level rise would affect about 11 out of the 15 biggest cities in the world. The reason this is happening because gases are being released into the atmosphere which is causing the temperatures to rise, which causes the seas to rise. Sea level rising means more money that we have to spend for people living on the coastlines because coastal populations are growing and people are crowding into coastal areas and that area could be underwater in a few years if sea levels keep rising how they have been.
