Historical events or contemporary examples show interactions among the branches of the federal government. These interactions are in the form of checks and balances. An example of this would be S.T.A.R.T. A treaty proposed by President Obama in 2010. Two branches had to work together to ratify this treaty, the Executive and Legislative. S.T.A.R.T. is a treaty “President Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed [that was a] major nuclear arms control agreement that reduces the nuclear stockpiles of both nations” (Obama).

The legislative branch is one of the most powerful branches of government, in charge of making and enacting laws. Article one consist of ten sections, in which they describe the powers granted by the constitution to Congress. Section One states that the legislative powers of the Constitution are vested in the Congress, which is composed of the House and Senate. This section is crucial because it is the foundation and structure for the entire legislative body of the United States.

The most important thing that the bureaucracy does is implement policy. Congress and the President make the policies and laws, but they have someone else (the bureaucracy) to implement them. However, they also make policy by rule-making (process of defining rules or standards that apply uniformly to classes of individuals, events, and activities). Also, according to Jillson (2016), "Congress passes laws that authorize government programs, the bureaucracy then writes specific rules that define how the program will be administered." So, when the bureaucracy makes rules you have to obey them because they have the force of law.

The ratification of the constitution first needed to be approve of two thirds of the thirteen state governments before it became accepted as the law of the land. While there certainly were people who were happy with the constitution there are also many who were suspicious of it. Those people who were afraid was because of a strong powerful federal government. To kind of ease people’s fears and to state what it was all about they wrote a series of essays that are known as the Federalist papers.

The American colonies were like England's babies. They were cared for and nurtured by the British. Like most teenagers, the American colonies wanted independence. In July of 1776, everything changed for the American colonies, gaining the independence they deserved. However, before the independence, the colonies had many governmental policies which helped shaped the colonies to become what it is known as today.

The American government and policies to some are said to be what makes this country as great as it is. However, where some say it is the greatest others may not feel the same way. There are many parts that bring this government to the top of the list to the people who like it. It can fall just as quickly from the list from those who have the issues with it. The idea of Federalism separates the power of the government into states issues, and federal issues. The three branches of government keeps from one group/person in the government from getting too much power and having it go to their head. The three branches it makes it impossible to get more power, and also some states are more populated than other, which means that the bigger states will have more representatives and the others. When writing the Constitution the founding father really tried hard to guard against tyranny by using Federalism, three branches, their powers, and that all states have a say in congress.

The federal bureaucracy is a large government agency that handles the daily business of the society. In my opinion, the federal bureaucracies act as neutral implementers and administrators of public policy. Often, when laws are passed by the congress, the specific details on how they are going to be implemented into our daily lives aren’t discussed. The members of the bureaucracies therefore figure out ways to ensure that these laws are carried out efficiently to meet the expectation of both the congress members and the public.

Two reasons for this include Congress lacking the expertise that agencies have regarding these issues, and because it is more efficient for Congress. Administrative discretion allows bureaucrats to use their expertise and judgment when determining how to implement public policy. Congress is not an expert on many issues; therefore, they do not want to be making the decisions regarding public policy decisions. They would rather have experts on an issue, the agencies and their heads, make the important decisions.

Bureaucracies were established to be an extension of the government, whereas they execute a specific task or tasks. They act as the agent in a principle-agent relationship because they carry out the request or commands of the government (principle). Through administrative adjudication and rule making, bureaucrats play an essential role in establishing laws, hence making them a powerful entity when implemented correctly. Furthermore, the legitimacy of a bureaucracy can be confirmed by being a liaison to the legislative branch. Federal regulations are in place to ensure establishments adhere to the rules set forth by the government.

Federal Agencies were invented for important reasons that would help the government, to provide structure and balance to the government and the people. These agencies are usually put into use by the legislation or executive powers, the different agencies are put into different lines of work. Each agency is different and have a certain job, purpose, and responsibilities to up hold. The Environmental Protection Agency is no different, is has a set purpose to fulfill in today's society.

There are different arms of government, one of which is the executive, and consists of the president, the vice president, and the cabinet. The citizens of a country, through their votes, determine whether a presidential aspirant assumes the office or not, and should hold the position for two terms with each limited to four years. However, the individual selects the running mate with whom they are contesting to seek votes from the citizens.
