Fair Wood High School is making some major changes in the school this year. The main change is the lunch menu, they would love to change the menu because they believe it can help students be more active. The school council believes it can also help with some of the students health issues. The school should change the lunch menu because it can help change bad eating habits in the school. Some students believe the healthier the food gets the more disgusting the food will become. For example, students say the food stinks and the food is very flabby like, especially the lean burgers that they served us on Tuesday. Likewise, some students will try to eat their healthy nutrition salad, but most will not because the chicken in the salad is rubbery …show more content…
Also, they believe that they should stick to the menu that they have now because the school would be better off making more money on the regular lunch menu, other than than healthier lunch menu that they want to give us. However, students need to be more healthier and stop stuffing their faces with junk food that is not good for them and that is causing severe health conditions. The lunch menu consists of: Blue Raspberry slushies, Hot cheetos, Chicken patties, nice big juicy Hamburgers, Fried chicken, greasy French fries, Grape and Orange sodas, etc. The lunch menu we have is not very healthy at all. The lunch menu that we need to consist of: Mixed Salad, Orange juice, Apple juices, Fruits, Baked chicken, more vegetables ,and sell less snakcs. Some students know that our lunch menu needs to be change but nobody will ever speak on it because they know that these are the main foods that half of the student body likes to eat. So we need to make a dramatic change and start right, these foods are doing nothing but making us go down the wrong road into major health conditions. So with that being said I want to be the first student to try and help change the school.Students will hopefully thank me in the long run for helping them get on the right path with the foods that
But changing it to where the students wouldn't even want to eat is a bit much. To me, and I'm sure many other students changing the menu for a healthier one would be a bad idea. We would think, if you take what we like to eat what will we eat? We may think, why take something that's already bad and make it worse? We already like very few items on the menu so why change it?
If students start packing their own lunch and not eating the cafeteria lunch then the school will be wasting food and possibly even money because the students don't want to eat it. Parents on the other hand might wonder why their child is coming home always hungry and it would be because the child doesn't like the new lunch menu at school. Then the school will have angry parents at their office desk yelling and complaining about the menu being changed because their child is going all day starving due to them not liking the food. Some of the students might blame it on the cafeteria workers when its not their fault at all, which could lead to the lunch lady's to quit their job or start complaining to. Everyone has a different opinion but this one is mine School lunches should defiantly stay the same no matter what anyone says.
Students should not have their food changed to healthy because most of the students would not eat the food. Mostly 50 percent of school foods have fats in it, which makes the food unhealthy. So imagine if your school cafeteria plans to change to a new healthier school lunch menu, which would eliminate most of the students cafeteria foods, people think it is a bad idea already, because the food they are trying to serve is disgusting and also, because most of the foods they say are healthy, are not so healthy. Principals should not enforce to have school lunches changed. Why should we have healthy foods at school?
if they decide to get rid of the unhealthy food, who says the students will eat the healthy stuff? No one, because the students have few descisions in thier life already and one of them is to decide what they want for lunch. More the 70% of the students have already decided that they want unhealthy food everyday because of the taste and other reasons So this is what would happen if you decided to take away thier food, the students will more then likely retaliate. Unhealthy food is bad for us, and healthy food will keep us slimmer, but we choose the unhealthy food over healthy because overall, it is better in just
School Lunch menus need to be changed. Many schools plan on changing their lunch menus. When changing school lunches many students will lose some of their favorite foods. When the schools do finally decide to change the lunches, it needs to be a change for students, they need to be healthier and it needs to be something different for students.
There are many obstacles for Liberty Students to eat healthy. Bad Food choices have recently been established so close and so available to Liberty High school students. Liberty is also brought down by not very good cafeteria funding and little to no healthy or appetizing food choices. Cooks may make food, but they are usually filled with empty carbs and very little nutritional value. There are also multiple snack machines located throughout the school many offering chips, candy, sodas and other unhealthy food choices.
First, if the school eliminates the foods students' like then some might stop buying lunches from the
In conclusion schools should not change the lunches because they don't have the power to tell students can or can't eat, they don't have the time and money, and finally because they are not allowed to put a limit on how much a student can eat due to the “No Kid Hungry
During a week they have their meal at the school cafeteria, but that meal is harmful for students' health. So, students need to avoid unhealthy kind of food, if they want to be healthy. One useful reason to change school menu, that can be good for students' health, is that they would get more useful vitamins for their health. It is very important to have enough vitamins in the body, because it can protect students from different sicknesses. Vitamins help students to have better performance at school, because they receive useful components to their bodies.
Why the school supporting to change a lunch menu. Some students' favorite food will be eliminate so they can't eating in a cafeteria . Each year having different rules about healthier lunch menu. It's a good idea an my opinion to change to new menu. Students' they don't like the pizza and cheeseburger at the school because to much fat on them.
In some schools some principals superintendents have made a decision to opt out of the Healthy choice foods and make there own semi-healthy foods that kids like. To reduce waste and bring back students who have opted to pack a lunch or go off campus for fast food, his districts cafeterias have installed stir-fry stations with abundant vegetables so students can have meals made to order. and he’s added spice bars so kids can even the bland. In schools some principals and administrators are starting to take action.
In most places, many love eating their favorite foods. The elimination of students' favorite foods in their school, causes the restlessness of student. They would question the healthy new lunch menu and start complaints about it with the cafeteria. Changing the menu would also cause less students to eat the new alternative lunch, cafeteria workers may lose their jobs, and causes the lessening of decision making.
To begin with, the taste alone of school lunches is beyond unsatisfactory. The meals provided by public schools are not appetizing. There exists a tangible disconnect between the enticing, nutritious meals advertised on the school board’s menus and what the students actually receive—pathetic portions and lukewarm meals slapped onto a tray. Children’s complaints about school lunches are often seen as trite. However, while common, they are not any less accurate.
Have you ever wanted a different lunch besides school lunch? Well I have. The subject I will be discussing is students should have off campus lunch. The issue I chose is relevant because some students contact their parents to bring them lunch from home. The purpose or reason why I chose to discuss this topic is because students want a better lunch than school lunch.
During both breakfast and lunch, students are expected to take either a fruit or vegetable as a part of their meal whether they are going to eat it or not. Most of the time students tell the cafeteria ladies they do not want to take an item since they will not eat it, being that it is usually not fresh or too frozen to eat, but as a result they are forced to take the fruit or vegetable after being repeatedly told to do so. Consequently, since the food is usually not fresh and the student do not want it in the first place, the fruit or vegetable is either wasted and thrown away or ends up on the ground or in the planters located around school. Students and staff at Hughson High School can all make a difference two times a day, each time we eat. Besides bringing in freshly grown crops to Hughson High School, the school could provide samples of the food being served.
