I remember a time when we were little. We all got along, but as time went on we started to compete against each other to see who is the best. From the book Fahrenheit 451 the quote “I’m afraid of children my own age. They kill each other. Did it always use to be that way? My uncle says no. Six of my friends have been shot in the last year alone. Ten of them died in car wrecks. I’m afraid of them and they don't like me because I am afraid. My uncle says his grandfather remembered when children didn't kill each other. But that was a long time ago when they had things different”. This quote tells us how our world has changed. Us as teen experience a lot of different changes its probably one of the most important times of our life. During these years our brain has to sort bad, evil and good. Sometimes that can be a difficult task in our society today. We look up to a big star and want to do what everyone else's is doing not what we need to do. This collage shows the social issues of our society for teens. Our collage represents all of the social issues that teens face today. Teens today are so involved in social media and themselves that they don't take the time to step back and be themselves. One type of image we put on the college is beauty. Today teens say they have to look flawless to be flawless like all of the big stars. They say they have to be the prettiest girl in school to be the most popular to be liked. This represents the quote because they are conforming to society just like the kids in the story. The second type of image we put on is social media. Today everyone is in their social media page 24 hours a day 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Social media is a great way to stay in touched with your loved ones but sometimes it's used for bad things such as cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is hurting people and teens because they don't think before they type
