Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is a tragic and dramatic play about the awful outcome of love between two immature teens. The families of the two lovers are rivals and have a tension between each other that would oppose the love between Romeo and Juliet. The outcome of Romeo and Juliet ultimately occurred because of the human faults of impulsiveness, irresponsibility, and selfishness. In Romeo and Juliet, the characters are regularly victims of their own impulsiveness. Impulsivity leads to wrong decisions and, in the end, negative consequences, including death. An example i sRomeo stabs Tybalt after Mercutio’s death. Mercutio, Romeo’s friend and Tybalt, Juliet's cousin have an argument and start to fight one another. An example is when Juliet drinks the vial. Juliet's only concern is about her and Romeo's feelings, not once was she thinking about how her family would feel when she faked her death. She only thinks about what she wants in her life. Another example that proves selfishness is Paris wanting to marry Juliet. After the death of Tybalt, Paris used that as an advangtaged to persuade lord capulet into accepting the marriage to juliet. This is displayed when Paris is talking to lady capulet and says “ these times of grief are no time for romance. good night madam. Give my regards to your daughter”(Shakespeare 106) Paris didn't care about what Juliet felt towards him and only cared about marrying her and being a part of the Capulets. Last example is The fight between Montague and capulet. This allowed them to not accept the love between Romeo and juliet. If the two families had not been fighting then Romeo and Juliet would not have had to keep their love a secret and they would not have had to fake juliets death which lead to both of them actully
