The Tragedy of Julius Caesar is a book known around the world and is taught in many schools as part of the curriculum. This book teaches teenagers why the actions can be perceived as bad and can be punished. However, the punishments shared in the book are unrealistic to the modern day and can be shown with other texts or even movies. This idea is shown as actions that have been done through betrayal such as the killing caesar as well as the funeral speeches are actions that have led to bad things in the future for both parties. For example, the person being betrayed gets hurt as that act of betrayal will negatively affect them, as well as creates disloyalty for the betrayer, which in turn hurts both people. Throughout the story, several different types of betrayal occur and even if it isn’t physical, the betrayed person is still physically hurt. That was shown in the evidence of how it can physically hurt someone in the act of a betrayal. Another form of betrayal is emotional betrayal and this is proven in the text as when Cassius tricks brutus with a letter in those letters they state, “The taper burneth in your closet sir. Searching the window for flint I found This paper thus seal’d up and I am sure it did not lie there when I went to bed;.Get you to bed again it is not day is not tomorrow, boy, the ides of march?”(Shakespeare II,i, 35-38). This shows the different types of betrayal other than physical harm. This betrayal is more of the style of the modern day as it relates to the teenagers or high school students. This has also happened to me in times where my “friends” have been mean to me and have spread lies and rumors to others to hurt and tarnish me. This in turn created bad almost toxic relationship between friends that was created over the lies that were told about me. This is the more modern form of betrayal as how it relates to teenagers. While not phsycial, and the consequences aren’t comparable to those in Julius Caeser, these lessons that are taught through that specific type of betrayal from Caeser’s time period aren’t applicable to my
Betrayal Affects Everyone In the tragedy Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, Mark Antony uses verbal irony, figurative language, and rhetorical questions to propose emotional appeal to the audience throughout his speech. During the speech, Antony uses verbal irony to continuously describe Brutus as an “honorable man” to the citizens, making them reconsider their beliefs against Brutus. For example, when Antony tells a positive asset about Caesar, he states, “Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest / (For Brutus is an honorable man).”
Betrayal is defined as the breaking or violating of a presumptive contract, trust, or confidence that produces moral and psychological conflict within a relationship among individuals (Dictionary.com). Betrayal plays a big role in The Crucible and it shows throughout the book. Abigail Williams, one of the main characters in the play, has shown many instances of betrayal and deception. Throughout the play, betrayal fuels her success in the witchcraft trials and is the main reason she did not get executed and was one of the main accusers.
Acts of betrayal have very large impacts on the person committing them and the people around them. Some might try to fix their mistakes they made in the past, like in Khaled Hosseini’s, The Kite Runner, others however, might just dig themselves into a deeper hole until the betrayal consumes them, like in William Shakespeare's, Macbeth. Both main characters betrayed people that they loved and cared about. In The Kite Runner, Amir betrays his friend Hassan but then he tries to fix his lack of action from when he was a child, and in Macbeth, Macbeth betrays many people including his king his best friend but doesn’t try to fix his mistakes.
If you are reading your history book, a play, or even watching the news today, you will see how people abuse the power that they have over somethings. There have been many leaders and people who abuse their power over civilization and places. Even the littlest taste of power often leads them to corruption. Many times, citizens and adversaries riot over some of the things that they disagree on and, in some cases, murder comes in to play.

They were then confronted by Mark Antony who promises not to say anything bad about the conspirators at Caesar's funeral. Brutus does not see Antony as a threat but Cassius, Brutus’s friend and fellow conspirator does. Antony does deceive the conspirators and ends up bringing Rome into chaos in his oration.
It hurts mentally and emotionally. It hurts because, you lose their trust, the anger builds in you , and it causes insecurities in the future. First, the trust you had for that person is lost. In Act 2, Macbeth starts to betray King Duncan after being influenced by his prophecies told by the witches. For example, my dad lied to me.

Betrayals can be big or small, intentional or unintentional, but they all have drastic consequences, both good and bad. An example of a major betrayal in Romeo and Juliet is how they disobeyed their families when running away for each other. Juliet betrayed her entire family by running away to marry Romeo instead of Paris like they wanted.

Betrayal and loyalty is a huge concept that most of us have heard about. We see this concepts used in famous movies, plays, readings, and even songs. It is a term that most of us are familiar with. For example, a famous betrayal and loyalty movie would be “The Lion King” where Scar kills Mufasa. In comparison, Shakespeare's Macbeth and Bob Dylan’s “Positively 4th Street” show the same concepts, but in two different ways.
Many people in stories or the real world have had history of betraying others for many reasons. For example, in the story, Macbeth, one of the main characters, Macbeth, decides to betray people in the story all because of his selfishness. On the other hand, in the story, Lamb to the Slaughter, Mary Maloney betrays her husband because of how he treats her making her want revenge on her husband. In addition, in, Scarlet Ibis, Doodle’s brother betrays Doodle due to the fact that that Doodle does not reach his expectations as a brother he wants. Betrayal can be evidently seen in all of the stories in which Macbeth’s greed, Mary’s revenge, and Doodle’s brother’s selfishness led to many deplorable effects because of their betrayal to others.
