Conspiracy theories have become a real complication and are used to find out if something that was planned is actually true or a hoax. Some examples of these are the existence of bigfoot, mass shootings set forth by political parties, and the events that took place on September 11, 2001. Many of these conspiracy theories have multiple sides and viewpoints for people to gather and form ideas of what they think happened. One of the most debated conspiracy theories was the moon landing. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin stepped off the Apollo 11 landing craft onto the foreign landscape of the moon and said these words,’That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” They had set out to be the first men to step foot on the moon and help the United States win the so called “Space Race.”After gathering evidence with moon rocks and specimens, the astronauts place the american flag and a plaque in the …show more content…
Many aspects in question cannot be explained thoroughly to accurately explain them. There are many things during the Apollo 11 missions that seem as if the astronauts are actors on a staged moon atmosphere. This will always and forever be one of the most debated and famous conspiracy theories ever. There are multiple sides for people to hold and believe in. Both sides offer some theories that are possible but the only ones who know the truth are the astronauts of Apollo 11. With the astronauts on the “moon”, Richard Nixon speaks with Neil Armstrong and tells him that he is proud of them and that this is a defining moment in American history and this will go down as one of the greatest feats in United States history. The sole thing that will help determine whether or not the greatest space achievement in human history is true or false is time. With time, we will be able to fully explain what happened on July 20,
Furthermore, the Air Force states that the purpose of the base is to test experimental pieces of military hardware. However, the base is famous for other reasons. There are various conspiracies that are linked to Area 51. Some divulge that it was the location at which the government recorded the famous moon landing. Others assert that the Majestic 12, a secret committee of scientists recruited by President Truman to track down the various UFOs that were spotted in U.S skies, is really a committee planning the New World Order on the base.
There’s always someone who thinks they saw something or infers this or that or the other. But I need to get to the point because today we are going to, obviously, going to be talking about whether the American moon landings were real. I’ve got a stack of evidence just waiting to be talked about so let’s get started!
Were the moon landings real or fake? On july 20,1969, the apollo 11 supposedly landed on the moon. Were the moon landings fake or real? Millions of people say they were faked.
JFK even promised to land on the moon before the 1970’s so we could’ve faked the landings to prevent embarrassment. Also, the “moon rocks” that astronauts bring to earth could just as well be pieces of meteorites. Seriously, moon rocks look similar to meteorites, but how do ordinary citizens know what a moon rock looks like? We 've never been to the moon! The rocks could have been pieces of meteorites!
It was a great day for America as we won the “Space Race” and got safely to the moon, but not everyone was happy. In this essay, I will be talking about why some conspiracy theorists think that the historical moon landing of 1969 was staged and why I still believe that it was in fact, real. To begin, I will be showing you some evidence theorists use to support their claim of the landing being fake. The first is that when
People think that some elite groups only control the information, so they have created new information themselves. People prefer more stimulant and interesting stories. Some conspiracy theorists insist that there are a lot of conspiracy theories now. For example,
I’m writing to tell you why I think it actually happened. In my personal opinion, I think the moon landing was not faked and actually did happened. One of the reasons I think this is, the Apollo 11 actually did go into space, so I don’t think they would build a million dollar spacecraft just to launch it into space and then have it come down crashing into the ocean. They wouldn’t waste that much money or equipment like that.
On July 20th, 1969, the Apollo 11 with astronaut Neil Armstrong and his crew, guided by thousands of NASA technicians, supposedly landed on the surface of the moon. It was certainly one of the most extraordinary events accomplished by mankind up to that date. Neil Armstrong’s first words upon stepping on the moon surface will always be remembered “ A small step for mankind, a giant leap for humanity”. Ever since then, this achievement has been a matter of discussion by several groups that either believed or disbelieved this.
Moon Landing Conspiracy A great deal of people believe that the landing on the moon, or Apollo 11, did not happen. People think the U.S. filmed the “landing” in a studio because they were losing in the Space Race. The Space Race was a race to the moon between many, countries including the U.S. and the Soviet Union. At the time the U.S. was losing, so they had to land a person to the moon quicker than the Soviet Union.
The moon landing was one of the most iconic moments in history. Viewers stood on their toes until the very moment that Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon, and they stayed there until Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin landed on American soil again. Authors The Times, William Safire, and Ayn Rand speak on the moon landing soon after the mission was accomplished. In the morning after America successfully landed the first aircraft on the moon, The Times published an article about the moon landing.
Nixon spoke on the astronauts, Edwin Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, who were stranded on the moon, because the chances of them returning home were slim. Even though the speech was addressed to Americans, the whole world could listen because it was a presidential speech. Because of his position and authority, President Nixon’s appeal to ethos was automatic. His position made it appropriate and fit for him to deliver his speech. The sad truth that the two men would not make it back to earth appealed to logos.
J.F Kennedy, the president of United States wanted to put the first Americans to the moon-America exploring the moon, so he directed his speech to the people of taxes and Rice University to promote his space exploration program that will help America to be the first country to explore the moon. He believes that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth. Throughout J.F Kennedy's speech, the speaker makes effective use of evidence, reasoning, rhetorical elements, and rhetorical devices that together form his argument to gain people support for his space exploration program. J.F Kennedy was trying to prove his point of view by giving examples and using a lot of Rhetorical devices and appeals that would grab the reader's attention
On July 20, 1969, astronaut Neil Armstrong walked on the moon: or perhaps not. That is what some people think. They believe the "Moon Landings" were faked, in order to cheat the public out of billions of dollars and so that we could win the space race against the Soviet Union. According to conspiracy theorists, the scientists at N.A.S.A. realized during the Apollo missions that either is was technically impossible to reach the Moon ir that it cost too much. So, the government built a secret movie studio somewhere in the southwest and used special effects to pretend that the astronauts had landed on the Moon.
He begins speaking about the disastrous occasion that was Apollo 1. Three astronauts were killed as a result of a cabin fire in 1967, but NASA has never experienced a calamity like this before. He mourns their loss, but also raises up their names in praise. “Nineteen years ago, almost to the day, we lost three astronauts in a terrible accident on the ground. But we’ve never lost an astronaut in flight; we’ve never had a tragedy like this.
When Neil Armstrong first touched down on the moon in 1969, millions of people watched him take the first step and create history (Villard). Yet even as we’ve moved on from the moon landings and consider them as a pivotal point for mankind, “Forty years after U.S. astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the moon, many conspiracy theorists still insist the Apollo 11 moon landing was an elaborate hoax”(Than). The idea that our voyage to the moon was deliberately staged seems to resurface year after year. While the conspiracy theorists claim the moon landing was a hoax, creating a fake moon landing would have been more expensive and difficult than actually reaching the moon. The race to the moon began on October 5, 1957, when the Soviet Union launched Sputnik into orbit around the earth: “When the Soviet Union launched the satellite Sputnik, on October 4, 1957, the United States experienced a technological identity crisis”(Olson).
