The hero's journey is a narrative pattern that is often found in stories, films, and other forms of storytelling. It describes the journey of a hero who goes through a series of trials and tribulations in order to achieve a goal or complete a quest. In most cases, the hero begins in the ordinary world and receives a call to adventure, which leads them to leave their familiar life and enter a special world where they must face challenges and undergo a transformation. After achieving their goal, the hero returns to the ordinary world with newfound knowledge or power that they can use to help others.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, can be seen as an example of a character who goes through a hero's journey.
