People disagree with each other, it is a fact of life. No matter if it is about how water is or is not wet or whether you put the milk or the cereal in the bowl first, people will always disagree. Everyone has small arguments with each other, but they always have something similar in common. Everyone has different opinions depending on where they are coming from or what they believe in. In the movie High Noon and the story “The Most Dangerous Game”, there are characters who have different opinions that disagree because of what they are surrounded by. In both stories, the characters have enemies that fight against them, making them fight back. In High Noon and “The Most Dangerous Game”, the tables are turned and the protagonists learn what it feels like to be hunted, through many difficult situations that are similar and different in both stories. In High Noon and “The Most Dangerous Game”, the main characters are Will Kane and Sanger Rainsford. They were both put into situations that changed their point of view on everything. In High Noon, Will Kane says, “You risk your skin catching killers and the juries let them go so they can come back and shoot at you again” (Foreman 307). In this situation, Kane is being forced to hide, which is changing him from a hunter to hunted. “‘For the hunter,’ amended Whitney. ‘Not for the jaguar.’ ‘Don’t talk rot, Whitney,’ said Rainsford. ‘You’re a big-game hunter, not a philosopher. Who cares how a jaguar feels?” (Connell 212). When Rainsford says this, he does not realize how the game will change and he will be hunted by General Zeroff. Once Rainsford was put into these situations, he used his head and fought back by setting traps, instead of attacking Zeroff like some of the other “visitors”.
