Only use low-fluoride toothpaste, the size of a small pea, for children 18 months to age 6. But after the sixth birthday, an Australian child can begin using standard fluoride toothpaste. The first action i would take, would be to ask for the schools lunch schedules and test if the food they are serving has a high percentage of fluoride which is the cause of developing mottled teeth. The next step would be to test the public water fountains and test for a high percentage of fluoride as well. Then if either of the two tested positive then i would work to change their dieting schedules then better purifying the water of fluoride. I will then gather information over the next few weeks to see if the number of students with mottled teeth would decrease.

There are increasing numbers of careers in the United States. In ranking, one of the best health care job’s in top four career is dental hygienist. The career as dental hygienist intrigued me, when as a child I used to have lots of cavity in my teeth and I had to visit the dental office frequently. Then I did not know about the dental hygienist job but I was very curious about the instruments and tools and always wondered how do they make the tooth ache go away.
Is It Okay To Give Pacifier To The Baby? As a new parent, you often worry about your little one’s comfort & wellbeing and you might find a pacifier very helpful. Introduction Public water fluoridation was first practiced in 1945 (Water Fluoridation and Cancer Risk). Therefore adding fluoride to water has been in practice for many years. Over the years people have wondered if fluoride is safe or even necessary. There are those that are for the addition to fluoride while many oppose water fluoridation. There have been mixed emotions about this in Georgia along with other states as well.

POLICY ALTERNATIVES The universal principle of health care delivery is that, those with the most need should receive the most care. However, this is not being reflected in the access of dental care across Canada. When compared to other OECD nations, Canada ranks the poorest performers in terms of equity in dental care.3 Access to dental care is adversely affected by low socioeconomic status, and therefore any policy alternative proposed should help improve access to dental care in Canada, irrespective of the socio-economic status of the residents.
Fluoride treatment should be provided to every patient (if wanted), and the amount and type should be adjusted to the patient’s needs to prevent caries, as well as sealants for patients with teeth that need them. Also, whitening trays should be available for patients who choose to bleach. It would bring great profit to the dental office because many patients want to have a perfect whiter and brighter smile. If the dental office offers various services, patients will be attracted to the

High fluoride concentrations can not only remove the oxide layer on the implants, removing the anti-corrosive surface. Some fluorides, like stannous fluoride, can be rough on the implants, and might scratch the surface. As with natural teeth, patients with implants should use soft-headed toothbrushes; manual, electric, or sonic brushes are all acceptable options. Flossing should be done with unwaxed or implant floss to get the maximum cleaning while minimizing tissue damage.
The aim of the experiment was to test different types of soft drink on calcium carbonate marble chips, which were used in place of human teeth, and record what percentage of the marble chips dissolved when it was left in the soft drink overnight. These results will show which of the five soft drinks tested was the most harmful, and the ingredients will be examined to explain why the particular soft drink was the most detrimental to human teeth. Human teeth are covered in a hard substance called tooth enamel, which is made of hydroxyapatite. Enamel is the hardest tissue in the body and is vital in protecting teeth from decay (Callison, 2018). Enamel erosion occurs when acids wear away at the teeth and can result in painful temperature sensitivity, discolouration, cracks and chips, and indentations appearing on the teeth, and will result in cavities (Smith, 2013).
Fluoride is a substance that many types of toothpaste use to help to strengthen the enamel on a person’s teeth. When used in small amounts, it’s perfectly fine, but in larger amounts, fluoride can be toxic, leading to the weakening of bones, cancer, and other problems in the body. When used in great amounts on children’s teeth, it can lead to dental fluorosis, which is the
