Bullying is “the art of using superior strength or influences to intimidate (someone), typically to for him or her to do what one wants.” Aggressive behavior may be bullying depending on what happened, how often it happens and who it happens to. Sources also show that “160,000 children miss school every day due to the fear of attack or intimidation from other students.” According to bullying statistics, “1 out of every 10 students who drop out of school do so because of repeated bullying.” There are many forms of bullying, and direct bullying is just one of them. The main types include verbal, physical, and cyber bullying. Victims are usually young children and teenagers, but adults are often bullied as well. But a lot of the times parents are not associated with their children as much as they should be. Children or teenagers often begin to bully others because of their family situation at home. They may come from a single parent household or their parents may have just gotten a divorce. Going through a hard time like that could affect the children getting aggressive because they do not fully understand the situation. In other cases, however, growing up in a poor neighborhood and their guardians not doing anything to help or take any responsibility of being a parent and deciding what is best for their children can also affect them.
The home life of many is also a reason why some children and teenagers may result in bullying. If a person comes from a bad neighborhood, and everything around them is negative,it could lead to serious problems which include bullying. Sometimes the parent or guardian cannot afford to live in a neighborhood where everything is up-to-date and nice. For children, they follow what they are taught and learn from their surroundings. For example, if kids are doing something to bully someone else, there is a possibility that other kids will follow
