With the changes seen in the economy, war & leaders, the Glorious Revolution of 1688 can be considered a part of the Enlightenment. Evidence shown through historical documents proves this stance. Although some historical events during the Glorious Revolution refute my stance, the Glorious Revolution was indeed a part of the Enlightenment because of the major shifts England had during and after this time period: Influencers, Religious tolerance and changes in governmental policies. Stated in the English Bill of Rights which were passed by Parliament and ratified by William III-King of England. “That the pretended power of suspending the laws or the execution of laws by royal authority without consent of Parliament is illegal”(Doc.3)

Were the Mongols as heinous as historians make them out to be? The mongols began as a small tribe in Central Asia that expanded their rule tremendously. They established the largest connected empire in all of the world’s history. In this Data Based Question, there is examples of how the Mongols exemplify leadership but mostly savagery.

I believe that WWII was indeed the last total war of the modern era. "Total war is a military conflict in which contenders are willing to make any sacrifice in lives and other resources to obtain a complete victory. " This was made obvious by numerous factors including Operation Meetinghouse or as many know it the firebombing of Tokyo. The United States unleashed a fury of which has never been seen before. Over 1,000,000 were made homeless and 100,000 civilians were killed in this raid.

The Mongol empire accomplished the great feat of being the largest empire ever created. To put in into better perspective, it was larger than Alexander the Great and Tamerlane’s empires combined (Document 1)! However, the Mongols are also known for being brutal, killing more than 5 million people (Document 4). Several important laws and neighborly customs observed in today's society were first introduced by the visionary Mongols. It seems effortless to group the Mongols in the simple category of "blood-thirsty barbarians," but their accomplishments cannot go unacknowledged and

Shays’ Rebellion Essay Shays’ Rebellion was when a group of farmers protested against the government shortly after America gained its independence. Although these farmers rebelled against the government, nevertheless they stood up, aimed to help country, and their actions had lasting effects affecting the government. These protesters stood up against the government. It is important to realize that “ the people who have stepped up to demand rights for themselves and others are most likely to be put in jail.” These jails they were put in were often far away from their homes.

The framers of the constitution were created to prevent tyranny and create a stronger government that would hold the nation together. Tyranny ultimately means harsh, absolute power in the hands of one individual-- like a king or dictator. The constitution guarded against tyranny in 4 ways: (A)Federalism, (B)Separation of Powers, (C)Checks & Balances, and (D)Small State-Large State.

The term “ the dark age was coined by Italian scholar Petrarch, but “the dark ages” may not have been so dark after all. Some say the 1,000 year period from 500 to 1500 was a time of achievements and success — a growth period. This would make sense due to the numerous achievements in economics, education, and human rights. During the so-called “dark ages”, Europeans demanded rights and flourished economically.

The Ottoman Empire came into power in 1301. The Ottomans were able to overthrow the Seljuks and after that they were able to repopulate the city and stay in power until 1922. The Ottoman rulers implemented many systems that were more helpful than harmful and allowed them to have strong loyal citizens. These systems built up their empire in crucial places. The Ottoman Empire had a strong trade and military system with religious tolerance these factors allowed them to stay in power for so long.

All empires in history had a high in their history but they all eventually came to their demise. The Ottoman Empire and the Ming Dynasty both had ways they gained, consolidated and maintained their power while they were at their highest point. They had significant leaders that lead to these successful points. The Ottoman Empire covered parts of Asia, Europe and Africa controlled by their leader named Suleiman.

How barbaric were the Mongols? There’s no evidence that specifically leans to one side. During the 13th century started the Mongols era, it later ended in 1502. How should we make of the Mongols? “In a word, unless they retreat in a body, all who take flight are put to death.”

During the Tang and Song dynasty, China made many new advance things like math,literature,technology,and science. These advancement gave many European empires to struggle for years. Their greatest inventions was the gunpowder,the printer and the compass. Here are some reasons of what was the Tang and Song dynasty greatest achievement of all time    First was the government. The government had to make important decisons that can change the community.

It is universally acknowledged that society is made up of two parts—the men and the women. The Ottoman empire was no exception. From the 13th century to the early 20th, the Ottoman empire held a central role in the world of global politics, commerce, and culture. They conquered vast lands, spread Islam, and created a rich and glimmering culture. But, one must recognize that women, because they make up half of the population, played an important role in Ottoman society as romantic partners and financial agent; however, women were also dealt the role of being subservient to men.

Although both empires shared common features and drafting systems regarding their military, the Ming Chinese and Ottoman Empire exercised different levels of bureaucracy as well as varying outlooks on foreign cultural influences. Ming China and the Ottoman Empire were both originally ruled by a single monarch as well as officials personally appointed by the ruler, but eventually, the Ottoman government transitioned to a less bureaucratic system. These varying government systems each had their own assets and liabilities in gaining and maintaining their power. In Ming China, the power was mainly concentrated in the emperor himself, while a cadre of eunuchs personally loyal to the emperor exercised great authority.

Introduction The meteoric rise of the Ottomans began in 1300s as they expanded throughout the Muslim World. By 1520, the Ottomans had reached their peak under the rule of Sultan Suleyman. Their rise saw them become the most powerful and influential entity in Europe and the Middle East. In fact, Sultan Suleyman was considered to be a leader of the golden age if the Islamic and Ottoman history is anything to go by.

The Muslim world expanded tremendously during the 1300s to 1700s. The Ottoman Empire and Safavid Empire were two out of the three empires that had significant changes during these time. Though the Ottoman and Safavid Empire contrast on leaders and ways they rule, they similar on their declination and cultures. In the Ottoman Empire, multiples leaders contributed to the growth of the Empire. Ghazis were warriors for the Islam that followed strict Islamic rules.
