A Competitive sport is very good at a young age to keep children on a good road to no drugs so it will reduce the drug use in the world and they will be healthy so go against obesity. Competitive sports are good at a young age because if the children like the sport they can go and pursue it more. However competitive sports can also be bad because some children will experience permanent brain damage. So it can go both ways depending on the parent of the child or children. But schools should allow both competitive and noncompetitive sports in schools for example if they have competition that all students have to participate in.
