Compare And Contrast Ww1 And World War 2

World War 1 started in 1914 and went through 4 years and ended in the year 1918. The war started out with an assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Austria then declared war on Serbia and Serbia had Russia as its allies. Russia threatened Austria then Austria told Germany the problem and Germany declared war on Russia and its ally which was France. Germany went into Belgium and then Britain entered the war on the Russian side.

The “Great War” happened in 1914 and lasted until 1918. The war was triggered, because of the assassination of the archduke Franz Ferdinand, who was supposed to receive the throne. Documents 7 and 9 go hand in hand, because it shows the European Alliances. Documents 3,4,5, and 8 show the militarism cause of the war. Lastly, the Documents numbered 1,2, and 6 belong together due to the fact they show the Imperialist Competition.

Prior World War I Europe had a long term of peace with in the countries. Lots of imperialism was happening at the time. Most of the European countries had colonies around the world. Although most of the countries were threatened by each other due to the amount of colonies each country had. In attempts to show their superiority over its surrounding countries Germany decided to build up their army, causing the surrounding counties to mimic Germany's actions The European countries where frighten by each other leading to the creation of alliances more specifically the Triple Alliance consisting of Germany, Italy, and Austria-Hungary and the Triple Entente containing Russia, France, and Great Britain.

World War I, the Great War, took place from June 28, 1914 until November 11, 1918. The Great War began after several countries declared war on each other. There were four fronts: Eastern front, Western front, Atlantic front, and Middle Eastern front. All the actions that took place in each front all led to the armistice being signed on the eleventh of November. World War I started as mainly a European conflict seeing as most allies originated from countries in Europe and Europe had most of the power, but in the end it expanded to beyond Europe as outside countries were brought into the conflict for multiple reasons.

World War II was a global conflict that lasted from 1939 to 1945 and involved many major countries. The war began with the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany. It rapidly spread throughout Europe and progressed to outside countries. The thing that most angered Germany and could even be labeled as the origin of World War II was The Treaty of Versailles at the end of World War I. The treaty imposed heavy reparations on Germany, limited its military capacity, and forced it to give up territory to neighboring countries.

His aggressive attitude initiates the Second World War when he arranged an unprovoked attack on Poland. While Germany reclaimed his land, Japan joined the Axis alliance with Germany and Italy in order to dominate Southeast Asia. The United States stay neutral in WWII until the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The beginning of World War Two started with the German fascism. Then what brought the Americans into the war was the Japanese. The Americans fought in two areas the pacific and European theaters. What ended it all was the Manhattan project and what followed it. Germans in World War One were vicious and ruthless killers.

It’s 1939, Hitler has risen to power wreaking havoc on other countries. This is the start of what is known as WWII. Taking a few steps back is WWI. How did WW1 impact on those who remained in Australia? World War 1 was the First World War. Men from all over the world fought for the country we live in today in this society. For the people who had fought for this country are remembered as the heroes of today. WW1 was a tough time for troops and families.

The use of air power as a strategy of war was highly contingent on the development of technology and became more and more significant to wars as technology developed. When compared to World War I, the second world war saw an improvement of technological capacities, leading to an enhanced production of aerial power along with the emergence of new tactics and strategies of war.
