Compare And Contrast The Outsiders And The Breakfast Club

In the novel Ready Player One and the movie The Breakfast Club have many things in common. Five teenagers fighting to survive in the world where they have to be different to be able to survive and be accepted. Teenagers live are thought when they have to hide from who they are. They are pressure by families and friends. James Halliday chooses the Breakfast Club movie because they come from different stereotypes where they can help each other finding themselves by becoming friends.

My final is about the difference between the book and the movie “The Outsiders.” This next paragraph is about the description difference between the book and movie. Then the paragraph after that will be about the description of the background or cars that the characters drive or live in. I think that the move and the book where basted of the same story but I think that when the directors made the movie with some different cars or house that can change the movie or they put different things in it so that the movie will look better. Altogether the movie and the book were pretty good and had good meaning to it about want to think of life and it’s alright to not be tough and hard.

In the novel The Outsiders published in 1967, and in the movie, 1983, both by S. E. Hinton, they elaborate on many themes. For example, one is that violence doesn't solve anything, or things are hard all over. In the movie of The Outsiders it doesn’t express the same themes though. In both of these versions of The Outsiders though it has very similar storylines to compare the two of these versions and so the audience won’t notice. To compare and contrast these things though, must work with the scenes to work with emotions.

Each character has experiences hardships in their life that have left them feeling isolated and alone. Some similarities include family members passing away, parents leaving, and abuse. However, as the novel progresses, the characters begin to realize that they are not alone in their struggles. They form connections with one another and find strength in their shared experiences. Daniel Gonzales loses his brother, Manny, through drug violence but his friends Calvin and Charles Johnson show they care and connect by losing someone important.

Comparative Analysis The Wednesday Wars, by Gary D. Schmidt, and The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton, both take place in the 1960s. When analyzing the two novels, one can compare and contrast the social inequalities racism, classism, and bullying. These inequities enhance the reader’s understanding of how society is separated. While racism is present in The Wednesday Wars, the subject is not present in The Outsiders.

Overall, The Breakfast Club is a classic teen film by John Hughes that depicts the different perceptions of the five high school students who come from different sociological groups. The actors played the stereotypical characters well and it made it easier to understand the film. In conclusion, the breakfast club is one of my favorite movies because it explains accurately the various concepts such as stereotypes, peer pressure, family issues, and groupthink and those notions relate to the lives of many individuals during their teenage

A book and a movie can be both the same and different. In The Outsiders there are many similarities and differences with the book and movie. They were the same because Johnny kills a man, they cut their, there was the movie scene, and Johnny and Ponyboy went to the church. Some of the differences is when Darry slaps Ponyboy but in the movie he pushes him, Johnny doesn't bring a lot of food in the book but does in the movie he does, when Johnny killed the man it was more described but it wasn't in the movie, and Johnny says he wants to kill himself in the movie. In The Outsiders one of the themes is “friendship”

There are comparisons and contrast in the movie and the book “The Outsiders”. For example in both when Ponyboy and Johnny run away from after killing Bob they go on the train to the abandoned church in both. They are similar because in the story and movie Johnny kills bob then runs away with Pony. They go to Dally where he gave them a pistol and told them to jump on the train and get off at the second stop Windrixville and go to the abandoned church on top of jay mountain. Another example of similarities between both is they still have all the main characters in the greaser gang.

The movie ‘The Breakfast Club’, focuses on a group of five adolescents, and their pursuit to find their prospective identity. This essay will focus on the process of identity development in these five adolescents, with particular reference to the character Andrew Clark. In addition, it seeks to highlight the different identity statuses, as well as, the factors that facilitate or hinder identity formation.

The Outsiders Essay Struggles is a natural part of living, even characters in a book have struggles! In The Outsiders, a group of very close friends called the greaser and their rival, the Socs, fight the struggles of life. Each group is tested with different struggles that affect them in a way. All of them must find a way to overcome them. The greasers struggle more than the Socs because people judge them before even knowing them, they have less money than the Socs, and they are targeted by them.

The Breakfast Club portrays elements of adolescent development very well. In this stage of our lives we are trying to figure out who we are. Some of us may explore different identities and there are others that just do what others tell them to do. The movie depicted role confusion in each of the characters. It also talked about peer pressure and how it influences how we act.

Over the course of our class, I will read the novel and relate Craig’s experiences to my own and to those of general adolescents. For this first reflection, the topic of cognitive foundations certainly sparked my interest, in particular, decision making and the zone of primal development. Adolescents may not make the greatest decisions during this time of their lives and interactions with others often inform particular thoughts or behaviours (LaMarre, 2018). This is why adolescents, like Craig, are so vulnerable.

Through the use of a younger cast and romantic relationships, the target audience was definitely reached and moved by this film. By effectively using the rhetorical appeals, the audience was able to relate to some of the ideas shown and look at their community through an entire new lenses. The Breakfast Club can be classified as a coming to age film. According to “As Film Studies: The Essential Introduction”, the coming of age films tend to rely on dialogue and emotion and often involves an important decision made in a short period of time (271).

In enduring these complex emotions, this section was the most remarkable part. One of the first apparent emotions the boy experiences with the death of his father is loneliness to make this section memorable. The boy expresses this sentiment when he stays with his father described as, “When he came back he knelt beside his father and held his cold hand and said his name over and over again,” (McCarthy 281). The definition of loneliness is, “sadness because one has no friends or company.”
