Ancient China was a great and powerful civilization, ruled by many fascinating dynasties. Two dynasties, the Han and the Song, were particularly interesting. During the Period of Prosperity, these two dynasties had a lot in common, but also had many differences. One similarity between the Han and the Song were their increase in trading. The Han used the military to protect their trade routes, so people felt safe and travelled further and more frequently.

In the period 1200 to 1400 Eurasia was the home to the Mongols. During this time the Mongols conquered and ruled many parts of Eurasia. Mongols were pastoralists who lived on the Asian steppes. The Yuan dynasty came to pass after the Song dynasty was destroyed by the Mongols river battles and sieges against them. This was only the start of the Mongols reign and need of power.

The Mongols who are they and were they barbaric? The mongols was a small clan until they came to one leadership whom being named genghis Khan. He who lead the mongols to a world of conquering and success. The mongols were barbaric empire. They way they kept soldiers fighting is cruel, they way they killed people from other empires is not necessary, and the way they got married depending on the situation is unfair.

All the great empires , most notably the Byzantine and Mongols were all defeated after enjoying long periods of success. Mongols were successful because they were interacting with many countries because of their conquests. Conquering others allowed the trade routes in Asia to move north. All these great countries and civilizations were so successful , mostly in part that they all worked together and their ideas spread to one another.

This religion was mainly focused on nature. Once the Mongols conquered other places, they allowed the people to practice their own religions. During Mongol rule, Orthodox Christianity became prominent because it gave the Russians something to hold on to though the shock of being invaded; and helped them find an identity after their political one was destroyed. In the 1200s Two very different Empires were thriving and have become very well known and they were called, the Islamic Empire and the Mongol Empire. Even though they are similar, they are far more different than alike. One reason they are far more different is because, they used very different ways of conquering to get more land so they could expand their Empires. The way Mongols conquered land from others was by warfare. If the Mongol Empire was shown any resistance they would show no mercy.

Verdict of the Trial of Genghis Khan. After the trial had taken place, I decided that Genghis Khan and the Mongols were uncivilized. During the time of the trial I learned much more of the brutality that had taken place during his reign. The barbaric attitudes and actions of himself and his followers is what led to him being found guilty of being uncivilized.

During their peaks, they controlled the majority of the world 's population because of their constant expansion of conquered lands, while their structure of administration and rule influenced many empires and future societies around the world. Aspects such as these, ultimately, led these two empires to be, arguably, the most influential societies in the world; as their legacies still live on today.

The Mongols Intro The Mongols have made a negative impact to all of us in one way or another. Some ways worse than others. Some of the things Genghis Khan has done may be cruel and wrong, but was what he had to do to be a great leader.
