Opportunities like this scholarship only come in a lifetime, so being able to partake in it, is such an honor. I truly contemplate that I’m qualified for this scholarship because of my past academic accomplishments and flexible upcoming goals. The day I learned about college, I generated a goal: attend a 4-year university and receive my Bachelor’s Degree of Science. I knew that my goals were not just going to be given to myself, so I started working firmly for them. I started to obtain near perfect grades, which certainly made me stand out in my class and as an individual. I was recognized in the A Honor Roll every semester in my high school career, and confidently will make it in both semesters this year. While I was in 9th grade, our class was assigned an all year independent research project (Science) that had a high stake, a $500 scholarship. My independent research project was based off texting and driving. After seven months of solid work and determination, my name was announced as the winner of the $500 scholarship. From that moment onward, I learned that anything is possible in school. As long as you put your heart out and put determination into your goals, they can become achievable. School grades are not the only forte that …show more content…
These past few days, I have been depressed about not being able to receive federal aid, apply for certain scholarships, and not being able to pay in-state tuition, even though I’ve been living in Wisconsin for the past sixteen years. The Golden Door Scholar Scholarship has given me light to end of my terrifying tunnel. It would be the greatest honor to become a Golden Door Scholar, as my abilities of speaking two fluent languages (English & Spanish), drives myself to pursue goals in both the American and Hispanic community. I want to take my talents and demonstrate them to the world. Thank you for this remarkable
I excel in scholarship. Throughout my high school career, I have maintained a 4.139 GPA. I consider academics to be very valuable and strive for high grades in all my classes. I’ve taken two AP classes,

The Goodnight Scholarship at North Carolina State University is an opportunity like no other. Going beyond providing the financial means for an outstanding STEM education from one of the top universities in North Carolina, the scholarship also provides recipients with valuable experiences that develop their personal, academic, and professional futures. If selected as a member of the Goodnight Scholars Class of 2027, I would be elated by the honor of participating in the program. I am excited about the prospect of being part of a community full of support, engaging in extensive professional and personal development, and partaking in service, travel, and culturally enriching opportunities. The Ezzard Scholarship will allow me to pursue my dream career and to positively impact and build communities.
Due to my completion of 300 hours serving my community, AmeriCorps granted me a scholarship for $1,671 to go towards my education. This scholarship was an honor because that year out of the program only, myself and another member was awarded with this scholarship out of a group of nine. I was very proud to have been able to complete my hours along with leaving an imprint of service in my
I have also maintained a 4.00 GPA throughout my high school career. I have also received the grade of A+ 12 times for my semester grade. I also demonstrated my scholarship by allowing only one missing assignment for both years of high school.
The impact of Excelsior Scholarship As a college bound New York student the Excelsior Scholarship would play an incredible impact on my life. This is a great New York free tuition program that was introduced by Governor Andrew Cuomo. Students who already live in New York and will be able to attend college full will be able to benefit from this generosity. However, although this is a wonderful opportunity some students who desperately need it will not be able make use of it. Let us think of students who work part time or full time, or for some other reason can only do part time studies.
In a society that embraces the advancement of scientific knowledge, my desire to contribute in the field of science is incredibly strong. Specifically, I am greatly interested in the micro-sciences, such as biochemistry and general chemistry. These academic programs focus on the building blocks of all living and nonliving material throughout the universe. This research offers me endless opportunities to make a positive difference.
I am requesting this scholarship to help pursue my dream to become a registered nurse to be able to help and lead others. I want to be able to help people get well. Also to give premature babies a voice to be heard, and to be healthy to survive. I have always wanted to be a nurse ever since my twin and I were born at twenty-nine weeks in critical condition. We beat the odds and became two healthy baby girls.
First of all, I want to express my gratitude for the opportunity to apply for the Clarence A. Hawkes Scholarship. With the cost of a college education increasing to new heights, scholarships become all the more important. I have participated in numerous and varied extracurricular activities throughout my life, and all these extracurriculars take up a considerable amounts of time. For instance, most days last Fall I would arrive at the school at 7:00 for marching band, have class from 8:15-3:20, cross country from 3:30-5:15 and then musical practice from 6:30-9:00. These time commitments taught me to manage my time and to never take weekends for granted.
I believe that I am deserving of this scholarship due to my financial status and my unique experiences that have shaped me into a strong, adaptable individual. Currently, I live in a household of five members, including myself. My family lives off one income as my mother is a homeschool teacher and my father works as a civil engineer. Prior to moving to Fort Collins at the beginning of my sophomore year, my father was laid off from his job and was unemployed for a year.
When I began the Minority Student Program (“MSP”), I had expectations that through the program I would gain insight into the requirements for success in law school. I was grateful that I was selected to participate, because I wanted to be fully prepared for the first semester. Fortunately, MSP introduced me to the law school community, allowed me to build relationships with my peers, and enabled me to thrive from the first day of classes and beyond. The program has made a tremendous impact on my first semester of law school. Additionally, I was welcomed into a community with a scope beyond the current MSP students and faculty.
There were few opportunities in such a small school, especially when it came to scholarships. I am eager to bring additional scholarship opportunities to my community college, starting with the Presidential scholarship from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) for which I could be the first awardee from McHenry County College (MCC). Once at IIT, I hope to challenge the status quo by developing a new innovative program as a collaborative effort between multiple disciplines. The rigorous studies I undertake at IIT will prepare me to create
If I am to receive this scholarship, I will be using it to gain the knowledge to help people cope and get through the hardships they may face in their
This scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for students of GVSU, and I am honored to be considered for this scholarship. I believe that I am a great applicant for this scholarship, and that I deserve this scholarship. One reason I deserve this scholarship is because of my strong academic courses. Throughout my high school career, I pushed myself academically by taking a total of 10 AP classes and 7 honors classes. These classes were all challenging, yet I pushed through with determination to complete the classes to the best of my ability.
