The last few days I have had the chance to work with Chrystal I wanted to do a quick recap on what we have been able to cover in her training so far and confirm improvement on points Amanda was able to make in her first recap!
Chrystal is overall very confident in setting up for appointment, filling out tray covers, getting patients from the front, walking them to the front, and taking photos (we discussed improvements on photos and techniques.)
Here are a few appointments we have covered in the last few days.
Comfort shorts: She is very eager to jump in! She has done an amazing job at not only fixing the initial reason for the patient coming it but also checking the whole mouth. (She found open doors, broken power chains). She was also

Demonstrated different ways to help get detail bends in for future appointments.
Repos: she can confidently set up for appointments, clean brackets, place nola, prep and pass! Knows the diffrents between initial bonding of a tooth and rebonding. She observed glue removal with a scraper, adhesive bur, and green stone.
Full bond/bond additional: On our bonds Chrystal set up completely and efficiently. Which included writing all steps to bond on the tray cover to refer back to. She pumised and green stoned with a slow speed which she completed in a timely manner, had great ISO, when placing etch (instructed not to scrub and explained it could damage enamel rods) after doing so or had a great chalky appearance, (when placing solo explained we only wanted a light layer so the brackets wouldn 't slide) when placing she knew which bracket would be next gluing time had greatly improved. She preped for turbos and began to place but requested help to make a bitting surface after appt. we discussed using a green stone and flatten bitting surface.During FB she was using the cotton pliers to retrieve wire clippings. Demonstrated how to keep the wire on the distal end cutter and explained why we want to refrain from using cotton pliers in mouth so we always have them to get into our drawers. After demonstrating to the patient how to wear rbs Discussed using
One example that highlights the help I provided involved a patient who had chronic back pain. She had been in before and continued to have issues performing daily tasks because of the amount of
She listened to my concern and addressed every one of them. Being a medical professional, I am very critical of the medical care I receive and I was over 100% satisfied with my experience. Her care and bedside manner are fantastic. I highly recommend.
Recap on Racquel’s Training Racquel was very receptive to reviewing training procedures and information on clients. We started with JPM prayer where she has been flagging. She was not aware of the changes made and I reviewed the quick reference as well as the info page with her. I did ask her to show me exactly how she sets up her screen each morning. She can see the quick reference as she takes calls.
She was very warm and eager to teach me all about her craft. I learned a lot in the two days I worked with her. There was never a dull moment and I got to see so many different patients; patients of different backgrounds, ethnicities, age groups, and gender. All my initial fear was basically fear of what I was getting myself into.
Dr. Sharon My responsibilities as a Medical Assistant include, but are not limited to, answering phone calls, organizing medical documents and equipment, logging patient history and insurance information, assisting the Doctor in daily activities, displaying Patient X- Rays/MRI results to on duty MD, and maintaining medical supplies. Working for Dr. Sharon has enabled me to further develop my passion to pursue a degree in medicine. Dr. Sharon has set a great example on what it really means to be an exceptional doctor. The way he cares and treats his patients is admirable.

She has served as a role model to me of not only compassion, but of showing respect and love to anyone, no matter their circumstances. I have experienced firsthand the horrors and miracles of this profession. In 2011, I was able to see through a patient’s eyes when my Uncle was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Standing by through dozens of rounds of chemotherapy, watching the deterioration of muscle and memory, it was excruciating, watching a man I had known my entire life being molded into someone new by this cancer. Those years of watching my uncle fight through chemotherapy inspired my dreams to become a person who can help those that are in pain, to heal their wounds and to be able to tell a family that their loved one will make it through the
I loved her entire attitude and interaction with her patient. Barbra herself told me she preferred coming to the clinic instead of going to her dentist. It was mainly based on a making the patient feel comfortable with forming a professional relationship that encourage a welcoming place for a patient like Barbra, who needed a deep cleaning according to her dentist. I am planning on doing more shadowing and observing. I love working closely with people and if I could do just that and further my knowledge in the process, this would already mark a bright future for me in this
Her life with her family has changed for the better. The challenge of finding a problem and treating the patient is something I love, I make sure the plans we have for them are known. " Everyone gets the same approach rather than a cookie cutter". People usually say "are you not stressed up after the day's work"?. No, I feel vibrant.
The level of care that the varying healthcare professionals provided to these patients was fascinating and became intrigued to a career path in the medical field. Over the next couple of years, I narrowed the possibility
The staff nurse followed all protocols defined by the hospital. When Monroe arrived at the hospital there was no apparent emergency. Moreover, the nurse went above and beyond to provide for her, she gave Monroe information where to get OB services and even offered an ambulance
When she picked up a scalpel, it was like she was a different person. She took won a Harper Avery Award. THOSE ARE RARE!!!!! She very good at what she does. Not everyone could be surgeon like her.
