Rainsford did not like Zaroff, the war general, one bit as a human being.(appositive) Rainsford thought what Zaroff was doing is cold-blooded murder. Rainsford is not wrong the general really is killing humans for the enjoyment. Rainsford explains that he is a hunter and does not use his skills to hunt down people and kill them. Rainsford doesn’t understand why any human would do such a thing. Zaroff finds fun in chasing people in the wild.(gerund).

Surely [his] experiences in the war...” (70).

Living life deliberately some people might say it’s not wasting time just trying to be the cool person, but to make a difference in our own life or others that would benefit the world. The book that my classmates and I read is called Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer about Christopher Johnson McCandless, who travels around after he graduates from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Very tragic that his cause of death was starvation on the date of April 19 and he was in a bus along Susanna River which is in Alaska. The question is if I think McCandless lives deliberately or in other words with a purpose. My answer would always be no, because he runs away from his problem's and doesn't try to face reality.

General Zaroff’s characteristics tend to add to the actions in which he does. Being that General Zaroff has all the riches and the will for thrill he feels that he needs to act on his longings. Feeling the urge to hunt men now General Zaroff proclaims it is more thrilling and fulfilling. Oppose to most animals dealing with their on defects Zaroff feels that he needs more of an opposition. In denial of winning or not General Zaroff makes sure that his game is created so that the opposing factor would have a small chance of killing him.

Hey there today we are telling a story that is called The Most Dangerous Game. It is a very good story to read and twisted. There are two main character in this story and they both have very interesting stories about their life, but they will fight for victory and one will die and who will it be the good guy Rainsford, or the villain Zaroff. General Zaroff is chasing them through the jungle, He sees something in the cave he shoots his arrow and then…... General Zaroff is a very sick and twisted man who likes to kill people for fun.

Life is very difficult, and certain people respond to trouble differently. An example of this takes place in the book Trouble by Gary D. Schmidt. In Trouble both Henry and Chay are in difficult situations. Henry’s brother has died and Henry and his family are in a difficult time. Chay is Cambodian and he starts to date an American girl.

In Richard Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game” , Rainsford is the positive force in a classic good vs. evil showdown against a psychopathic man-hunter. For example, Rainsford non - evilness is displayed when he declines General Zaroff’s “ We will hunt - you and I,” (10). This is substantial evidence towards Rainsford morals and integrity as a human. Based on the short story, a good and decent person would not want to hunt someone, it is an act of cold blood.

He soon finds shelter and meets a Russian hunter named General Zaroff. Zaroff arrogantly explains to Rainsford on how hunting has bored him, as he has never lost a fight against an animal. He then explains he hunts humans, as they can reason. Zaroff challenges Rainsford to a hunting battle, and when he loses, he realizes that he’s not the best hunter. The first point of pride was when Zaroff is boasting about how he’s never lost a fight to an animal before.

The Most Dangerous Game     Throughout the globe, people cherish hunting. It can be challenging, but still a great way of entertainment. Morally, hunting animals is okay or adequate, because it stays within reason. However, in “The Most Dangerous Game”, General Zaroff is convinced that killing humans for sport is acceptable. That idea is very absurd, for many different reasons.

In “The most dangerous game” written by, Richard Connell, he uses many devices such as: characterization, plot structure and theme to contribute to the overall meaning of the story. Characterization is a big part of the overall meaning of the story which is that survival is of those who are smart, cunning, and can adapt to their environment. The protagonist Rainsford is at a constant battle with the antagonist General Zaroff. Throughout the entire short story they both have similar minds sets and then farther along the main character 's mind set develops into something more. The reader can almost sense a self centeredness, and that he believes that there are only two type of people in this world, “the hunters and the huntees”, and he believes that he is the hunter.
