Santiago. I am writing to invite you to play the role of Santiago. This will be a film production. It will start May 28, 2020 and rehearsal will begin February 28, 2020. The movie is about a simple boy with a calling on his life. He has to jump threw obstacles in order to find his dream and along the way he meets people who help him to become stronger/ wiser mentally, physically, and spiritually. My goal for the film it to allow the audience to connect with the movie on a deeper level. To be able to connect with a film that is not only creative but one that can impact their lives and allow them to reflect on what obstacles have been in the way of the dreams. Santiago is an adventurous boy. He is willing to take changes and is not afraid of those who try to hold him back from his dream, when he began to communicate with the Soul of the World and he stood firm in the powerful wind or when the men beat him up for his treasure. He did not waver. He become stronger from it. You can see how his personality changes when hie is put in certain situations, but you can see a change from when he started his journey to where he finished. When people see santiago, I want them to see his growth and how he overcame his
The book is about a boy named Francisco and his family are immigrants from Mexico. The family comes to the United States to work to support the family. The family is poor so they have to send Francisco, his older brother Roberto, and Papa to work. While Francisco and Roberto have to go to school. One day the family gets sent back to Mexico but Francisco and Roberto stay for school.
He is a stronger and smarter man because of what happened to him. Santiago hit a lot of adversity at the beginning of his journey and it prepared him for the worst of his journey. “Now he understood why the owner of the bar had been so upset: he was trying to tell him not to trust that man.” (Coelho 43). He lost it all and he was prepared for anything for the rest of his journey.
Santiago’s last step to completing his personal legend was walking through the desert, to find his treasure and completing it. Thus, showing the symbols and meanings behind these little puzzle pieces in the journey and being rewarded with love and treasure helping to support my thesis, through seeing and understanding symbols behind the world people can learn about their own personal legend and live life to the
By continuing he finds his true inner strength. In the story, the author shows the importance of perseverance, and how to face the many obstacles that people are presented in their lives to complete their goal. In Coelho's novel, Santiago faces many difficult challenges, but because of his courage and perseverance, he is able to face them head on. While in the town of Tarifa, Santiago meets
Santiago felt very pressured but he didn’t fear to die this time because he knew that the universe was going to help him. Santiago overcame the fear of dying and turned himself into the
Santiago realizes that he finally has a place and that he is supposed to be following his Personal
Decision-making through the theory of Existentialism Existentialism is a philosophy which means finding self or finding meaning of life. It is theory which talks about freedom. Paulo Coelho in the novel The Alchemist talks about Santiago’s dilemmas and how he takes decision.
Ultimately Santiago has developed his identity through the soul of the world and alchemy and has achieved his personal legend
During his journey, Santiago receives knowledge that he treasures and uses on his behalf when he hopes to achieve his personal legend. During his time with the Crystal merchant Santiago learned the five sacred obligations of all Muslims, and he learned that the Pyramids were not nearly as close as he thought when he arrived in Africa. During his time with the Alchemist he learned how to find life in the desert, and how to
What is the significance of animal imagery used by Gabriel Marquez within A Chronicle of a Death Foretold? Within the novel, a Chronicle of a death Foretold the author uses animal imagery to effectively bring across varying themes and concepts within the novella. Marquez uses the symbolism of roosters to comment upon the disloyalty that the bishop and the town have to their own religion. The use of other animals such as pigs, dogs, birds and rabbits are used to characterize Santiago and the townspeople as well as show the brutality of Santiago’s murder and the animalistic nature of the human race.
This is illuminated when the Alchemist says, “‘There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure’” (141). This particular moment shows that even though Santiago has both the ability and the knowledge to achieve his dream, it is impossible to attain it if he fears even attempting to reach it. Consequently, this fear acts as his enemy and a barrier that stands in the way of the meaningful and happy life he is destined to accomplish. Furthermore, another one of his fears is the fear of losing what he believes he has already earned. ” He reminded himself that he had been a shepherd and that he could be a shepherd again.
Santiago has an epiphany when he realizes that if you never change and take risks you will never move forward. He wants to find his “personal legend,” or true desire, and to obtain this he needs to change his own nature. He must be willing to give up whatever is necessary to achieve this goal, including freedom. On Santiago’s journey he becomes employed by a crystal merchant that never achieved his personal legend. The merchant resisted change and never accomplished his dreams.
A personal legend is not just the result found at the end of Santiago's life. It’s more than simply reaching final destination. Santiago personal legend is achieved when he completes what he is doing. “It’s true that everything has it’s personal legend ,but one day that personal legend will be realized ,so each thing has to transform itself into something better ,and to acquire a new personal legend, until someday, the soul of the world becomes one only thing.”
Santiago is a young boy who yearns for adventure and purpose in his life.from a young age he knows he wants to see the world and becomes a shepherd to experience new places. Santiago still struggles to find meaning and purpose throughout his many years of travel though. It's not until he goes on the journey to follow his personal legend that he truly develops as a character. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, challenges readers to acknowledge their self-worth and realize they are strongest when they love themselves.
Santiago is shaped by his interaction with the Gypsy women, the King, the Englishman, and the Alchemist. All these individuals teach Santiago valuable life
