Although this is true, there are much more to being a knight and the history that come with it. During the Middle Ages, knights are actually in the upper class in their society. They would often partake in aristocracy in government and maintain land given to them by the lord.

It had to be tailor-made to fit the Knight exactly or the Knight ran the risk of an ill-fitting suit of armor hampering him in battle. Knights Armor was a complex series of garments, chain mail and iron plate. During the day I have jousting practice and tournaments Knights were referred to as a warrior or nobleman in former times, or today to refer to a person who has been given a royal recognition. Knights fought for their lords who in turn fought for their king. The king might take on a task as a favor for another king or in obedience to the Pope.
