Being bullied isn’t apart of life and shouldn’t happen. Bbullying can cause kids to commit suicide which will make teen suicide increase if we don’t put a stop to it. People bully each other to make themself feel better or maybe even because they’re jealous. People bully each other for a lot of reasons like in the story “I Just Kept On Smiling” the boy got bullied for not owning up to what he had done,so everyone had to face the consequence for example Timothy Pigott sat on the narrator’s chest and pressured him into saying he was going to tell Dom Francis it was him. This supports the my claim because that scene could have been avoided they should have sat him down and talk to him and let him know he needs to go and tell that
In our world today, contemporary issues are more prevalent than ever before. In the novel There There, author Tommy Orange sheds light on these issues through the viewpoint of twelve different characters. Although each character has their own story, they are all intertwined and share Native American heritage and struggles. All of the characters' stories come together by the end of the book, in a violent and tragic event at the Big Oakland Powwow.
The use of different diction in each character of this novel creates a different mood in each plot of the story. A scene from the novel that illustrates this occurrence is when Halt catches the three battle school bullies attacking Will after they had already beaten Horace and allows Horace to sword fight them. However, Halt forces the fight to prolong even though the fight would be considered ‘over’ in a training without mercy. As Bryn, one of the bully, becomes injured from the fight, Halt asks “‘I didn’t hear anybody call stop,’ halt said mildly.

In the play Romeo and Juliet the families bully each other around until eventually their own kids take their lives, because they could not be together due to the feud. In the book Shattering Glass by Gail Giles the characters touch a little bit on cyberbullying, but mainly they verbally and physically abuse people in the story to help them achieve what the characters want.

It gives bullies a sense of pleasure because of its social backing and the enthusiasm it receives. “one gets more social recognition for negative behaviors than for positive ones…comedies and reality television, as well as real life situations in schools, for example, show that acting out is more likely to get noticed than behaving oneself civilly and courteously” (Rettner). Bullying would not be as drastic as it is if not for the attention it gets. There is not just a random whim that sends a bully into abusing another student. An inferior student becomes identified someone who doesn’t belong there, who is a hinder, and who deserves be tormented either into change or extermination.

Bullying in Schools What seems fun and harmless for some students, is painful and degrading to others. Bullying has been a critical issue around schools, but before it was not as dangerous and know as it is now. These do not means bullying was not happening, it means it was not taken into consideration by parents or teachers. They thought it was just peer pressure or a kids game, and sooner or later the kids would be friends again. At one point, bullies think it’s normal to be mean and abusive to other students.
He would sometimes wait for me to get done with school to pick on me. He used to call me mean names when we walked passed each other as he shoved me like it was on accident, even though I knew he did it on purpose and that he intended to hurt my feeling. One day he would say he was my friend if I gave him an answer or two but the next he would act like nothing even happened the day before. He treated me like I was trash left to be feeling like I was the only person in this world that had a “Friend” like that.

The hate towards their victim has something to do with the victim having an unusual gift or being intelligent the bullies has yet to become. It is important that this behavior should be prevented or it will become worse. Bullying is one of the main issues public and private schools have to face on a day-to-day basis. When the bully takes it too far, the victim snaps and retaliates by fighting him/her back physically or verbally.
