The Holocaust The Holocaust that started in January 30, 1933 killed around six million Jews and killed the mother and sister of Elie Wiesel. The Holocaust was caused by Adolf Hitler was the worst thing ever and he killed people because they were Jews. According to article five in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “It states that no one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.” Author (Elie Wiesel) of the novel Night refers that Idek fornicated a young Polish girl “Idek jumped, turned and saw me, while the girl tried to cover her breasts. Everything had to be handed over to the authorities, under penalty of death. And if anyone was found with any kind of gold, jewelry or any other valuables there were shot or hanged. My father went down to the cellar and buried our savings. So if anyone of our family members stayed alive or get out of the Holocaust alive they can go dig back out. As my mother she went on tending to many chores in the house. Three days later, a new decree: every Jew had to wear the yellow star. VIctims of the Holocaust were dehumanized by not treating like humans but treating like slaves they were given food every two days and there were no toilets to go they were given the same dirty and worn clothes that were worn by other people in the Holocaust they were kill the people who go against their law or rule. Treatment of Holocaust victims violated human rights by not giving them right to own any kind of property, gold, silver, jewelry, or any kind of valuables. And if they were found with any kind of gold, jewelry, or any other valuables they will get shot or will hanged to death. Every human deserves right’s so they can live freely and enjoy their life. So they won’t get in any kind of Holocaust or trouble by other people that’s why in twentieth century if you kill or slaughter any human you would go to jail or can be
