He appears to be an average fourteen-year-old boy, which he is in a way. He is obsessed with building and competing robots, also called “Bot-Fighting”, and being just like his genius older brother, Tadashi. Hiro is convinced that he is going to make a living off of Bot-Fighting and will never have to attend college. This is his plan until Tadashi takes him on a tour of his college “Nerd Lab” to show him what he is missing out on. Tadashi brings Hiro into his personal lab and introduces him to his own invention, a healthcare robot called Baymax. Baymax is a big, marshmallow-like “healthcare companion” with a huge heart. Baymax can scan people for symptoms and is programmed with over ten thousand medical procedures. He can’t deactivate until you say you are satisfied with his care. Hiro is astonished by all the amazing inventions his brother and his nerdy friends are

The sons in the control room are monitoring the process in tension with a supervisor and the sons were all four limbs trainees. The supervisor was too busy to watch four of them in different directions to control the computers and that were eight hands pressing the buttons. A young boy is strolling in one of America 's beautiful national parks. He stops to take in the breathtaking scenery, but little did he know, the next thing he would see would be a hospital curtain. This is because later on he tripped on a sharp piece of rusty metal and cut his leg open, and the only reason this little boy still has his leg is because of a little Roamer Redbot, or robot, that was next to him. This boy used the emergency walkie-talkie in the robot to contact 911. That Roamer was a creation of young minds in the nation.
Rube Goldberg once said, “I wonder how anybody can think his personality changes with his success. I’ve had quite a bit of success but I feel that I am just the same person as I always was”. Rube Goldberg was such a successful man, many people have tried to recreate his inventions, using his same protocol. Like many other people who have tried to build a device like his, the goal of my project is to build a contraption that completes a simple task in a complicated manner.
Baymax in Big Hero 6 brought a tear to my eye all because the digital artists did a phenomenal job in bringing out the emotions of this character which conveyed beautifully on screen to evoke tears from not only me, but from my mom and aunt as well. I possess this empathetic connection with characters and have the passion to learn how to convey this through every dimension of digital arts media. Dodge College will provide me the “hands-on” training required to obtain the technical skills and emotional growth to create a character such as Baymax. For example, introduction to Visual Storytelling will broaden my artistic skills illuminating character emotion, lighting, editing and sound. In 3-D Computer Graphics II, modeling and animating will

Luckily, one of Tadashi's most endeared projects, a healthcare companion robot named Baymax, arrives in the story and plays a critical role in Hiro's journey. Throughout the film, Hiro tries to find who took his invention, mind controlling, small metallic objects called micro-bots, use them for menacing purposes, so he upgrades Baymax in a way that makes him a crime-fighting robot opposite his "huggable" design. Patrick lin makes the reader think and analyze the possible outcome of the robotic industry. As stated in the essay “With the new development of robotics, it almost makes you do some soul searching on what really makes us human.” His humorous idea about robots overthrowing the world is funny, but, when you think about in a real standpoint and how technology is being made to have a mind of its own, it’s not a far-fetched
ONLY A TEACHABLE HEART VIVIENNE J. WARNER CHALLENGE ENGLISH MRS. PEARSON MAY 18TH, 2016 As the creator of the 25 epic hero steps, Joseph Campbell said: “We must let go of the life we have planned to accept the one that is waiting for us” because every epic hero must put aside his own plans for his life to accept the one that was meant for him. In order to maintain the title of an epic hero, a champion must complete the hero's journey steps. The words from Joseph Campbell describe the journey of our once comfortable hobbit, Samwise Gamgee’s transition to becoming an epic hero in The Lord of the Rings as a epic hero must be willing to step out of something they are traditionally comfortable with.
Though heroes are known to be strong and have super powers, not all has a powerful and massive body. Individual heroes can respond differently to the same conclusion of a story due to their different strength and strategies to save the world. Throughout the story it is clear that all heroes seem mighty. In the Shivering Tree, Nanabush, the protagonist seems like a king.
In “Better than Human”, Kelly mentions that it will be a trend for robots to replace humans on most, or even every working position in the near future as a outcome of the development of automaton-related technology. “We need to let robots take over”, Kelly assures, “they will do jobs we have been doing, and do them much better than we can (Kelly 311)”. With his observation of the invention of Baxter, he is persuaded in a great extent that humans will acquire new jobs as their old jobs get replaced by automatons. This newly invented robot surprisingly contains several epochal features, disregarding its extremely low price compared to its predecessors. With its benefits, Baxter can be promoted easily and applied to many industries, decreasing the costs of production and even re-generating the market eventually.
