Don’t ban our childhood dodge ball! Well these people, also known as principals, in Elkton Maryland said we should ban dodgeball. They just recently said that dodgeball is unfair. This happened because principals don't think it teaches the importance of values. They just removed it from the physical education curriculum. I honestly think they should not ban dodgeball from this school. The players say NO!
I think they should keep dodgeball because it is not boring like school it is fun and people want some excitement in school. Kid need some enjoyment in school it can't just be work work and more work. dodgeball make school happy and other gym activity. When kid find out it dodgeball time in gym they get really happy. They need
Some people at Webb City High School would be very angry to find out that they will no longer be allowed to participate in extracurricular activities due to their grades. The students who really want to play sports though would get into gear and get their grades up to prove that they deserve to play. What is a School without education? Pointless. Other people in the community believe that the “C rule” is not fair for the people who do not participate in any extracurricular activities because they will not be being punished.
The persuasive techniques Ethos, Pathos, and Logos are used to assist the author in their claim and sound convincing. In the articles “Position on Dodgeball in Physical Education,” by The National Association for Sport and Physical Education, and “The Weak Shall Inherit the Gym,” by Rick Reilly, both authors use persuasive techniques to make their claims on dodgeball in physical education. The article, “Position on Dodgeball in Physical Education,” created by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education, short for NASPE, focuses on using logos throughout the article. To illustrate, when discussing keeping children and adolescents active it’s stated that, “61.5% of children aged 9-13 years do not participate in any organized physical activity during their non-school hours and 22.6% do not engage in any free-time physical activity”(986).
My opinion on dodge ball is they should get rid of it. Dodge ball is an elimination game and most of the people that are eliminated are weak and need more physical activity. So schools need to help and work with games that involve more physical activity and games that do not eliminate kids. Half of the time schools like to have everyone participate in everything and when you're eliminating people they are not participating. Another reason they banned dodge ball is because it's violent and inappropriate.
Persuasion in DodgeBall TDA Response Persuasive techniques such as Logos, Ethos, and Pathos help support and state his claim in the text. In the two articles, “Position on Dodgeball in Physical Education.” and “The weak shall inherit the gym.”
In today 's world schools spend too much money on after school sports and might get rid of them. Although many students think getting rid of after school sport is not necessary; schools save much more money now and a more percentage of students pass their classes because the schools use the money for educational purposes. Therefore, districts should get rid of after school sports because they are too expensive, students grades are dropping, and kids are not paying enough attention in class.
That is why schools started considering that recess should be left out of the school curriculum, so that teachers can have more time of the day to improve the student’s
They recently decided that this game is a target for the weaker, and slower students who aren’t physically fast, or strong, enough to keep up with everyone else. Principals and superintendents argue that it’s against everything that they teach, not to mention their anti-bullying campaign that they are trying to teach to students to use when they are with other people. In my personal opinion, this game is foolish, and it has absolutely no point whatsoever. Dodgeball was originated in Africa, around 200 years ago, and it was considered a very deadly game that was played by the different tribes. Instead of using a foam ball, or a basketball,
It’s finally a time where you DON’T have to learn. This paper is obviously about recess due to my rambling on and on about it. Therefore, we should have recess because, Kids need good health, exercise, and a break from teachers. Starting off with Heath reasons, the most boring. Children need recess because of fresh air, Vitamin D, and so we don’t get cramps in class.
Starting off in the first paragraph the author uses logos to show how he feels about the subject of the article. He explains that “dodgeball [is] outlawed by some school districts in New York, Texas, Utah, and
As the book ends Paul D returns, and finds Sethe laying down in Baby Sugg’s bed ready to die (70). Sethe cried out to Paul that she lost the most meaningful person in her life, Beloved (70). Paul D then hugged her as he told her she was the best thing to ever happen to him (70). Instead of Morrison writing about families being separated, she writes about them being sold as if they were livestock (71). Morrison chose to write about the African-American experiences during slavery (Heinze 127).
Youths should not be banned from participating in sports such as dodgeball, cheerleading, and football. To begin with, dodgeball teaches physical and mental education. According to the text, ”Rick Hanetho, founder of National Amatuer Dodgeball Association said,” It teaches hand-eye coordination, concentration, and to draw quick conclusions” (171). This proves that youths shouldn’t be banned from dodgeball since it teaches them at a young age and it teaches mental and physical lessons. As for cheerleading, youths shouldn’t be banned because the coaches are trained and certified.
But, according to , kids are now being thought new and enhanced techniques of playing the sport. The chances of injuries and concussions are rapidly decreasing. Therefore, kids should be allowed to play the sport. Moreover, it has been proven through many studies that active kids do better in school.
If you have ever been in sports or school athletics, act fast! Schools are getting rid of their sports and we need to stop it. “Being a student is harder than ever. You are being held to tougher academic standards-and so is your school.
Book Banning I think that the root problem with the book banning/burning was the level of maturity in the certain individuals affected. Both of these books were not made for children. I think the people in charge that banned Mr Vonnegurt’s book could have done better with their solution and the people at the Biloxi school came up with an adequate solution to the problem. An example is the book by Kurt Vonnegut, but they were still taught in the classroom.
Dodgeball is a sport that has some complex things, but very basic things that everyone will understand . that ill explain all about it in very detail and interesting things. The sport has a lot of requirement , that they have to follow such as member in each squad or such as groups that I'm gonna explain, such as only allowed up to 6 members on both sides and lowest is 3 on both sides to start a game also the size of the balls is usually 8.5 inches and have 6 rubber balls , also a rule that if I had the ball for 10 seconds and longer you have to roll it to the other side.
