I envision the future America as a sanctuary that will protect and love the citizens of this country more than it is shown in the society of today. I imagine that the violence and chaos that is present today will eventually be defeated if we can conquer it with compassion and understanding. When we provide good work ethics along with focus, America will be built up the way it was intended to be. The thirty-third president of the United States, Harry S. Truman, stated, “America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.” Needless to say, America no longer needs to be presented as the country that is filled with destruction, but viewed as a place of peace and freedom. …show more content…
The future America will be filled with citizens that have respect for the freedom and rights that our country stands for. Residents of this great nation tend to have opposing opinions on the type of service that is being provided that is supposed to be making the lives in our society easier. There have been several incidents that have been displayed where the American flag has been disrespected by being burned, torn, and stomped upon. I believe that there will be no such disgraceful and dishonorable act placed upon our national flag. The future of America is in the hands of this generation that is witnessing our once great nation disintegrate into chaos. The United States of America is supposed to be a place of freedom and peace, but now it is viewed as a country that is crumbling under the unhappiness of its own citizens. We should be viewed as a country with hope to lead the helpless out of misfortune. Abraham Lincoln once said, “My dream is of a place and time when America will once again be seen as the last best hope on earth.” The America that I envision will be seen as that last standing
As an American I feel that ALL things are possible if you Believe , And for that I Believe that America is not just MY home, but OURS Veterans, Veterans are the men and women who have fought and served in the army in order to honor and protect our country. As these individuals boldly practiced their beliefs in freedom, they inadvertently rewrote history, and we as Americans, honor these patriots who were willing to give the ultimate sacrifice. Veterans Day is the day that we set aside to honor those who served our country. Being a member of the United States Army is a job that must be upheld by the men and women who chose to answer the call of duty. All that you have learned in Basic Training, Advanced Individual Training, and Permit
For America to grow as a country it must first focus on itself more than it does now. Focus on everything that's hindering it from completing what must be done for change to happen. The nation must stand together to get back on track with the way this country be heading. Langston Hughes says it best in Let America Be America Again "Let America be the dream the dreamers dreamed—Let it be that great strong land of loveWhere never kings connive nor tyrants schemeThat any man be crushed by one above." (Hughes).
Finally, the chorus became an earthquake — and the people turned out by the tens of millions, and they were all united by one very simple, but crucial demand, that America must put its own citizens first ... because only then, can we truly MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. Dying industries will come roaring back to life. Heroic veterans will get the care they so desperately need. Our military will be given the resources its brave warriors so richly deserve. Crumbling infrastructure will be replaced with new roads, bridges, tunnels, airports and railways gleaming across our beautiful land.
Washington presents a patriotic tone throughout the speech to identify with the millions of Americans in the recently independent United States of America. In his introduction, Washington says the main pillars of their existence can be drawn back to “tranquility at home, your peace abroad; of your safety; of your prosperity.” These optimistic words amplify that Americans shall
It looks like America has been fighting a crisis for centuries. It’s not a war on a battlefield of a history book you’ve read. It’s a fight for a dream that could potentially separate America from being so great. It’s that the American dream has changed from when it first began, to a broader idea. This dream was first thought of by forefathers who wrote the Declaration of Independence.
Where do you see America heading?
America has a vision and we need to reach it. America s seen as a leader by her people, we need to make decisions that will make America a true leader. America is on a journey to be greater so let’s just push her to be greater. I certainly assure you, make this decision and you won’t regret
A philosopher once said, “ True wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us.” With that in mind, when asked about how I see America’s future, I can only say that it's unpredictable. We as people don’t have that true wisdom that its requires to predict, or see the future. So many changes have happened in the few years I’ve been alive, which give me enough reason to say America’s future is so unpredictable.
I envision a nation our founding fathers would have expected to emerge from the seeds of freedom and responsibility they planted in the American soil more than 200 years ago. America is a hopeful nation, secured and blessed by God and enlivened by faith. Where you go to your small hometown church every Sunday morning with your family or how ever else you worship your God or whoever you follow any way you want. This America leads the world in religious freedom, where faith is cherished and protected in private and public. It leads in family stability, where heterosexual marriage is the backbone of society.
Imagine the country, that proud citizens worked so hard to build, all came crashing down. The people faced the awful effects of hunger, homelessness, and confusion. With the similarities between Rome when it was falling, and America today, it is only right to think that the U.S. may be heading in that direction. The similarities between the two countries are mind-blowing. This leads to the conclusion that if America does not change its ways, America will end up like Rome.
America is spoken highly by both those who reside in the United States and those who do not. It’s the land of living hope, woven dreams, aflame with longing and desire (Anzia Yezierska) “Here we are to be free from the dread drudgery for bread that held me down in Russia (17).” America represents the land of the free. Freedom of speech and expression, religion, healthy peacetime life and freedom from fear (Franklin D Roosevelt 44).
The American dream at one point was what drew people to American; the right to life, liberty, and the happiness. The American dream is the hope to acquire currency, large homes, raise a middle-class family, and pursue what brings people joy in life. But in the year 2016, the American dream becomes hard to believe in. The American dream may still exist, but it is not equally accessible to all Americans. This is true because the American dream is not affordable for everyone, it is not available to everyone from different degrees of education, and race and ethnicity creates large social barriers.
My fellow Americans, I would like to thank you all for coming out today to listen to me speak on behalf of the future. America, the future is now. I want to strive in making a major impact on our country. Being President of the United States comes with a lot of responsibility. With all this responsibility, I want to make certain that America is the best it can be.
As Theodore Roosevelt once said, "The first requisite of a good citizen in this republic of ours is that he shall be able and willing to pull his own weight. " My responsibilities to America include; paying my own bills, looking out for the future generations, being an informed voter, supporting and defending the constitution, putting America first, and to be a good person. Paying my own bills is a huge responsibility that any person must understand and take on. If you do not do this you will become a burden to society. Also, if you don’t pay your bills, your house or other items may be repossessed.
Schuylon Johnson Coach D. English IV Immigration in America The number of legal, and illegal immigrants have risen over the years, which has stirred more debate about immigration. Some think it’ll help the economy, and the others think that it’s affecting the economy, but in reality, immigration has been beneficial to a degree, but there are negative effects as well.
