I envision the future America as a sanctuary that will protect and love the citizens of this country more than it is shown in the society of today. I imagine that the violence and chaos that is present today will eventually be defeated if we can conquer it with compassion and understanding. When we provide good work ethics along with focus, America will be built up the way it was intended to be. The thirty-third president of the United States, Harry S. Truman, stated, “America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.” Needless to say, America no longer needs to be presented as the country that is filled with destruction, but viewed as a place of peace and freedom. …show more content…

The future America will be filled with citizens that have respect for the freedom and rights that our country stands for. Residents of this great nation tend to have opposing opinions on the type of service that is being provided that is supposed to be making the lives in our society easier. There have been several incidents that have been displayed where the American flag has been disrespected by being burned, torn, and stomped upon. I believe that there will be no such disgraceful and dishonorable act placed upon our national flag. The future of America is in the hands of this generation that is witnessing our once great nation disintegrate into chaos. The United States of America is supposed to be a place of freedom and peace, but now it is viewed as a country that is crumbling under the unhappiness of its own citizens. We should be viewed as a country with hope to lead the helpless out of misfortune. Abraham Lincoln once said, “My dream is of a place and time when America will once again be seen as the last best hope on earth.” The America that I envision will be seen as that last standing
