When I attended Shrek the Musical put on by Wylie High Schools Theater Department, I admit that I did not have high expectations. I had always enjoyed the Shrek movies, but was not prepared to witness the green Ogre come to life before my eyes. From the moment the characters marched down the isle of the auditorium, it was evident that many talented people had put time in effort into making this performance enjoyable and memorable. Shrek the Musical consisted of a tremendous cast, beautiful music, awe inspiring scenery in addition to heart felt imagery.

Amanda Morrison got to experience the joy of finding out she was pregnant with triplets. Although Signature Theatre has not yet produced a production of Guys and Dolls it’s one that their company could undoubtedly do so in the future. The theatre certainly has the capabilities and facilities necessary to produce a high quality version of this musical. However, this fact, although relevant is not the most important factor in deciding whether or not they would choose to produce the show. The theatre must also have a desire to chose this specific musical among the hundreds of other choices that exist. An examination of Signature Theatre’s history and currents goals helps one to see if this desire exists.

For the past couple of months, I have had the wonderful opportunity to take part in Civic's production of “Annie.” This being my first Civic show, working with the incredible directors and cast members has been remarkable and a great learning experience. In addition to rehearsing for the production, I also participate in voice, piano, and dance lessons; meaning taking on all of these activities, in addition to homework, can be quite the task. But, I love every moment of it.

Seeing Pippin at the Academy of Music was a fascinating experience, especially to someone who has never seen the musical before. Although I can understand the criticism that is was better on Broadway, it was entertaining and thought provoking for me. However it posed some important departures from the original version, at an important time in circus history. The most important difference between the original Pippin from Broadway in the 1970’s and today is the ideological change in which the players have become circus performers’. While this doesn’t require substantial changes in the script it upsets the old order and brings a fresh spectacle into the revival.

The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast are just a few examples of wonderful shows that the Christ Lutheran choir has produced over the years. The choir works very hard each year to present a show that the school will enjoy, but the choir should not be the one performing the shows. CLS would benefit from having a drama class that is separate from the choir class. Many people have said that they would like to take part in the school productions, but they are not interested in joining choir.

The story of “Daisy Miller”, By Henry James; the work is an exploration of living in Europe and the United States. Mostly, the story focused on the effects of the social status on the characters. Basically, the story of Daisy Miller’s started from the Vevey, Switzerland. Daisy and Winterbourne met with each other by Daisy’s brother. On the Other hand, Daisy Miller was symbolized all of the Women from United States travel overseas and Winterbourne symbolizes the European’s.

The epic novel "Les Miserables" Victor Hugo was created over thirty years . French writer put two strictly opposite way of his era - the convict and the righteous , but not in order to show their moral differences , and in order to combine them into a single entity. It was my favorite book since childhood and I was highly excited to see a musical performance. Moreover , how is possible to move more than one thousand pages of classic works of Victor Hugo on the scene,but still not as long boring narration , but as a musical. As soon as we enter the theater, we were imbued with the tremendous mood of broadway show spotlights , full house and playbill in a hand.
