Animal Farm Argument

Kemmerer shows how Hindu religion views all animals, non human and humans, as coming from the same source, with a soul and connection to the “divine” (Kemmerer p 57). She also writes that in Hindu traditions, humans cannot dominate those weaker or less powerful than them but are to use compassion to help those weaker or less powerful (Kemmerer p 61). The Hindu religious terms, reincarnation, dharma, karma, ahisma, atman, as explained by Kemmerer, shows the connection between all livings things in the Hindu religion and will show how that relates to speaking up for the suffering on animals

In the book Animal Farm George Orwell sets the scene with the animals do hard back breaking work for little to no rations, who’s in charge who has the power to fix all of it? After being inspired by Old Major speech The animals on the farm rebelled and won against farmer Jones. A pig named Napoleon took control as a sole dictator and after a long reign you couldn’t tell the difference between the pigs and a humans. The first technique Napoleon used was propaganda to his advantage, he also used his power and animalism to bend the rules and finally Napoleon used fear to keep his power. Napoleon used propaganda to stay in charge.

In human history, a number of oppressed groups have campaigned for equality, demanding for an expansion on the moral view of life, and to be treated fairly in the eye of consideration. This means that when the matter concerns this group, their voices are heard, and treated with value, and consideration. Where this equality is not determined by an assembly of facts like that group’s collective intelligence level, the colour of their skin, or the physical strength of their bodies. This is what Peter Singer brings up in his essay: “All Animals are Equal”, that non-human animals should have equal consideration with humans when matters concern them. Going into a specific set of non-human animals known as primates, I argue that primates should have some of the fundamental rights and equal consideration that are given to humans.

So in conclusion that is why I believe,animals can teach,keep us alive, and open our hearts because of our bonds. If it weren't for animals where would our society be right now, it has been scientifically proven that animals have been with us since the beginning. We can have the friendship and companion to go through the tough times. We need to appreciate what they do for us and for others.

The fictional book Animal Farm, written by George Orwell, is about Mr. Jones’ farm of animals who rebel against him and make their own society. Although equal at first, the pigs slowly create a peerless government due to the malleable minds of the rest of the animals. I the end, the pigs have broken all of their originally set commandments and begin to act as humans at the dismay of all of the other previously equal animals. Three topics addressed in this amazing book are anthropomorphism, foreshadowing, and motif. To start, the first topic, anthropomorphism, is used the entire book, as the animals are the main characters.

The second reason the argument is flawed is because originally, Animalism was a successful system that was equally contributed into, and the animals were happier. After the animals bravely overtook the farm from their cruel owners, they realized the liberty they gained. “Yes, it was theirs - everything that they could see was theirs! In the ecstasy of that thought, they gambolled round and round, they hurled themselves into the air in great leaps of excitement.” (pg. 22)

In this short fable, the animal kingdom is plagued by the Gods for their sins – at least, according to the lion who rules over his kingdom. The lion uses the power that he holds over his animal subjects in order to manipulate them into incriminating themselves, and ultimately spare him from potentially sacrificing himself for the good of his people. In this situation, the common belief that animals who possess human characteristics are esteemed individuals is challenged with the notion that human characteristics translates into power, which corrupts whatever it touches. This hybridity is different to that found in “The Dogs’ Colloquy”, as in that narrative animals possessing human characteristics is demonstrated in a positive light. In “The Animals Ill with the Plague,” animals possessing human characteristics are held in contempt – and yet, the same state of human-animal hybridity can be seen.

Animal pain which is described by Lewis in two specific ways, one, that human and animal suffering cannot be compared and two, God isn’t actually not concerned for the animals sufferings they experience. Animal resurrection on the other hand is in simple terms that if human can experience this resurrection, then so to should animals. Next is human superiority, which is describing how many humans believe in this hierarchy between different parts of God’s creation, therefore, humans are superior to animals. Lewis however argues the reverse of most humans. The last component of Lewis’ animal theory is human cruelty.

Thesis Statement: Dictators Create decisions for what can be said and done. The animals in the novel Animal Farm had created a set of commandments that all the animals had to follow, then one day the group Napoleon and the other pigs broke the fourth commandment by sleeping in beds, the Animals on the farm read the commandment and it decreed “No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets” (Orwell 67). The quote supports the thesis for the reason that Napoleon has changed the rules so that he is not breaking them, so that the other animals will not be tempted to confiscate Napoleon's power. The statement supports the quote because Napoleon decision to change the fourth commandment. Napoleon changes the fourth commandment without the vote of the other animals which leaves the animals no choice but to go along with the change for the reason that the animals have been brain washed.

Animal Farm Essay How are allegories relevant when discussing societies issues of human nature? George Orwell’s novel Animal Farm explores this question through the characters in his book. The Novel was based around people and events of the Russian revolution that occurred during 19… and revealing many truths of human nature and existence throughout the novel. George Orwell portrays his characters as animals with human traits and allows readers to infer what he is revealing about human nature through these characters.

(ch.5 pg.47) It all clearly points to the fact that all animals (and humans) have different strengths and different jobs and that they are not equal. This is also the case because some of the animals capabilities elevated their status within their society. This inequality sometimes helped the farm by providing a firm government but often lead to harsh mistreatment of many of the animals. The only reason animals often listened to the leader was because he had ferocious dogs protected him and in certain cases he used that power to protect his own interests.

The adjective suggests an attitude that is controlled by propaganda, the denial of truth, and manipulation of the past. In George Orwell’s novel, Animal Farm, George Orwell develops his ideas about the Russian Revolution through a highly satirical story written in the form of a fable. The characters represent actual people in history during the Russian Revolution, which took place in the years between 1917 to 1944, as it talks about a story of a farm rebelling against a human owner and establishes their own way of running the farm, which was effected by Old Major’s speech who talked about a society where all workers led the society, with no actual leader. However, imbalance of power occur as the pigs, who are the smartest of the animals gain influence by supervising other animals to work.

Animal Rights Some people assume that just because animals cannot speak that they cannot feel pain. It is not okay to torture living beings that have their own thoughts and breathe the exact same air us humans breathe. It is unjust and selfish to stand by and take no action while everyday hundreds if not thousands of innocent animals die without reason. No matter how much fur or how many limbs the creature has; it should be treated as equal as a person. A heart beat is a heartbeat regardless of the body it’s in.
