Communism doesn’t work and will never work in society. Communism doesn’t work because the leader gains all power for whatever if he chooses to use the power on. Communism doesn’t overall work in “Animal farm” because the pigs create their own government and make all decisions for the Farm. The animals were persuaded to agree to the unfair decisions put forward by the pig whether they liked it or not or they were executed which was against their commandment “No animal shall kill another animal” but when animal farm became a communism it became “No animal shall kill another animal without cause” (chapter 8). “They had come to a time when no one dared speak his mind, when fierce, growling dogs roamed everywhere, and when you had to watch your comrades torn to pieces after confessing to shocking crimes.” (Chapter 7, page 74). This was to show how the animals lived in a communist society by fear and manipulation. An example of why Communism doesn’t work in a real life either. Russian revolution didn’t work under Stalin, Germany didn’t work under The Nazi’s and Hitler’s Reign. Therefore, Communism doesn’t work in a civilised society and democracy works for society. So, “Animal Farm” must be included in the list for reading for
"The seven commandments would be inscribed on the wall; they would form an unalterable law by which the animals must live by forever," said Snowball. "For once Benjamin consented to break his rule, and he read out what was written on the wall-All animals are equal. Some are more equal than others." Theme 1: Animal Farm is most famous in the West as a stinging critique of the history and rhetoric of the Russian Revolution. Retelling the story of the emergence and development of Soviet communism in the form of an animal fable, Animal Farm allegorizes the rise to power of the dictator Joseph Stalin.
Such was what men devoted to communism, like George Orwell, author of the book Animal Farm, might have beheld when facing the despotism in Russia under the charade of communism, and such was the sight of the animals of Animal Farm, when the pigs march out of the farmhouse on two feet, triumphant, as dominators, as humans. Though late in the narrative, multiple factors clearly make this the turning point. It is because of the animal 's protests, the indifference of the pigs, and the sharp contrast the author draws between the mood before and after this scene that this is the turning point where the reader is simultaneously enraged and disappointed. For the first time, the animals want to protest against the pigs ' actions.
At the heart of a seemingly simple, unassuming novella lie political issues that occurred in Russia during and after the Russian Revolution in 1917. George Orwell’s allegorical ‘masterpiece’ as some would say, stems from his own opinions and detestation of the class divide. He shows that an egalitarian society is unachievable, when some characters that exercise power within Animal Farm use forms of both psychological warfare and physical threats in order to keep the ‘lesser’ animals under their control in order to maintain their society which supposedly follows the principles of Animalism; that ‘all animals are equal’. The pigs employ various tactics and express ways of thinking that convince the animals that they are better off than they had
The political satire Animal Farm by George Orwell is a reference to the Soviet Union’s corruption. The quote in the book Animal Farm stated "There was nothing there now except a single Commandment. It ran: ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS” (Orwell 134). The lesson learned from this quote is that communism is not what it was meant to be. This means that communism looks good at first but always ends up being the complete opposite of the communist idea.
In George Orwell’s Animal Farm, communism is proven to lead to unfairness and dictatorship through the better living conditions of the pigs, harder work for the animals, and the inability for the animals to share their opinions. Orwell’s views on communism are well demonstrated through out his novel Animal

The Squealing Pig Would you like to learn about communism in such a way that you receive a clear picture of what it is? The Novel Animal Farm by George Orwell gives you somewhat of who Stalin was and what communism is. It portrays Stalin as a pig named Napoleon and the other animals as the people under Stalin’s rule, oblivious to what was actually going on. Napoleon used another pig named Squealer to spread lies about what the pigs were actually doing so that the other animals would stay under his command. Through the whole book lies were told so that the animals would not revolt, thus the pigs remained in command.
Russian Revolution Essay Have you ever wondered how a book about innocent animals taking over a farm, related to one of the biggest events in history, the Russian Revolution? Well according to George Orwell (the writer of "Animal Farm") he wrote the book to reflect the events that lead up to the Russian Revolution of 1917, and into the Stalinist era of the Soviet Union. In my opinion I think the book did a very good job at describing some of the key points of the Revolution, for instance the collapse of Nicholas II, and the creation of communism. However I also do think the book did have some differences that didn’t quite relate to the Revolution, such as the book being mostly about animals and the other being they live on a farm.
For example, the quote “It had come to be accepted that the pigs, who were manifestly cleverer than the other animals, should decide all questions of farm policy, . . . ” (p50) illustrates how the pigs presented themselves as cleverer than the other animals, which is similar to how the situation on the farm was when Mr.Jones was in power; there was one or a group of individuals who were cleverer than the others and made the decisions for everyone on the farm. This contradicted the whole idealogy of Animalism, which was that all animals were equal, and made it seem as though all the other animals on the farm were inferior to the pigs. The same situation happened with the Soviet communist party. An example of that would be the laws that they were creating, and how they were similar to when Russia was ruled by a Monarchy.
Leaders. They want the best for their country, and probably will do whatever they can for their country, but most do not contemplate how far a leader can tread for the sweet taste of power. In the allegorical fiction novella Animal Farm, George Orwell paints an image of what it would be like if animals took over a farm and started to adopt the ideas of socialism and capitalism. The leaders that take over are corrupt, a perfectly dystopian replica of our society. In the story, many animals represent real people from the Russian Revolution of the 1910s, and they start to form their own set of rules, called “animalism.”
The ominous objective of Napoleon became clear later on. Because the pigs became the leaders of Animal Farm, a security force was necessary to maintain this leadership. Napoleon not only uses the dogs as a security force, but also uses them to overtake his fellow comrade, Snowball. The social structure had been set, but Napoleon skewed the structure even farther, because he was power-thirsty, while Snowball had been inclined to work for the interests of the majority. Orwell uses this to symbolize the difference of the two revolutionary leaders in Russia: Lenin and Stalin.

The contrast to this perfect society is a dystopian society. Dystopian societies are marked with fear and have little to no chance of improvement.
