Consequent to his death, Alexander the Greats empire that he built ruptured into three separate kingdoms, these kingdoms later broke into more smaller states. However, even though Alexander’s kingdom did not last long, his influence did. Alexander the Great formed a huge empire, which spread Greek culture into Egypt and many parts of Asia, and paved the way for new civilizations to develop. Alexander encouraged blending of cultures in areas he conquered, created new cities for example, Alexandria in Egypt. Alexander encouraged people from other parts of the empire to move to these cities and lastly, Cultural Diffusion led to the formation of Hellenistic Culture blending of Greek, Persian, Egyptian, and Indian cultures.

In some cases, greatness can be defined as showing concern for others, leadership, and intelligence. These are a few of the qualities that made Alexander the Great, great. In 336 BCE Alexander the Great inherited the kingdom of Macedonia from his father at the age of 20. Now in charge, Alexander went on to conquer the world.

Alexander killed an estimated of 100,000 enemy soldiers, and innocent civilians throughout his rein. (Doc. E). He killed all these people just because he wanted more land to gain more power. Most of these people did nothing to Alexander and had no affect on his life except they were an obstacle in the way of him gaining more power. Also Alexander killed a full army in East India because he saw a major opportunity to take control of land from one of the biggest empires.

Alexander 's father, King Philip was in charge of Macedonia, until he was murdered. Alexander became king as a teenager. Alexander was born on July 20, 356 BC in Pella, Macedon. He died on June 10, 323 BC in Babylon. Alexander was known for conquering a great deal of land in Asia and Europe.

Alexander was not great I think that Alexander was not great. In my opinion Alexander was not very great at all. He may have had some pretty amazing accomplishments but that does not mean he was great at what he does or how he did it and it for sure does not mean he was a great person by any means. Alexander was born in Macedonia, and he took charge of Macedonia at the age of 16 when his father left for an expedition. Although Alexander may have done some good deeds during his sovereignty for his people, it definitely does not outweigh the bad deeds he did to other people. Alexander received the name “Great” undeservingly because he did not exhibit examples of a good leader which should be one who is nonviolent, rational, and unselfish.

Alexander the Great did a lot of good things but I do not think that he is so great. I think he was ok but he also mad some bad decisions and could go crazy at any time, so you would not know when to expect it. My opinion about him is that he’s not great because he enslaved 20,000 innocent women and children and he got drunk, which caused many deaths.

Alexander had a lot to learn when he became the ruler of Macedonia. Alexander was able to learn that with every decision came many different consequences. Alexander figured out that with all these problems anyone of them can be solved with a solution. Alexander did not become the greatest ruler overnight, but he did not have much time. There was a war

Alexander the Great is one of the most famous people in our world’s history. He achieved great challenges no other man could do. Alexander himself said, “There is nothing impossible to him who will try.” His achievments prove this quote without a doubt. He was not great because he didn’t show concern for others, leadership, or intelligence. Alexander the Great was not the best because of his mass amounts of murder, not much care for his soldiers, and his poor ability to lead. The first reason Alexander the Great is not amazing because of the mass amount of murder he committed. One example is during the battle at Tyre, once Alexander’s army broke into the city they went on a ferocious killing spree (Doc C). Alexander had ordered anyone that was not inside the temple to be slain and he killed seven thousand Tyrians.

Did you know that Alexander the Great was one of the greatest conquers? Alexander was born in 358 B.C. and he lived in a kingdom in Greece called Macedonia. Alexander was the son of the King Phillip II, and Alexander became king. During his life, did Alexander show enough leadership, courage, and concern for others to be considered great? By these measures, Alexander was great for at least three reasons: military genius, inspiring leader, and spread of Greek cultures.

Alexander of Macedonia inherited the throne when he was only 20 years old. His father, Philip of Macedonia built the Macedonian army into a deadly machine. When Alexander was on the throne, he set out to conquer Persia, which was at that time, the most powerful kingdom. He, Alexander the Third of Macedonia should be called Alexander the Great is because he had a big influence on the world, had genius battle strategies, and because he was respectful.

As arguably one of the most influential military leaders in history, Alexander conquered the majority of the known world, including large-scale empires such as the Persian. Succeeding his father, Philip II, to the throne at the age of 20, Alexander commanded an already skilled military, which he schooled further in the beginning of his reign. Even militarily significant empires had no chance against Alexander 's military brilliance and so he constructed one of the largest empires in history.
