Absolute power can corrupt absolutely because having power makes the leader think that they are godlike. It gives the leader the influence on the followers that peer pressure them into doing what the leader wants like in the wave. It can also make the leader misuse or abuse their power for something that they shouldn 't use it for, like how Hitler abused his power. . You can see throughout history that power does corrupt. If leaders have a lot of power they can crave more and more power and attention leading them to become power hungry and corrupt. Leaders that have/ have had lots of power realize that they can do what they want and their followers will not really notice, so they will start to misuse and abuse their power more and more often. Hitler abused his power by using weapons to get people to join his movement or become Nazis. Some others were so loyal to Hitler that they just went along with it even if they knew it was wrong. Hitler trained his followers to believe him to the point that they didn’t even question it anymore. Absolute power can make the reader think that they are god like. And if the leaders think that they are god like they assume that they are at higher power. They start believing they they have a god like complex so they think that they can do things like lie, bend the rules, shoplift, and that they are above the law. For example, Hitler thought that he was above the law and that it was his duty in life to kill all those Innocent Jews and fooling everybody in other places unaware of the millions being killed Hitler told all that the camps were Red Cross camps for the needy. He let the power get to his head and started believing that he was above the law so he started lying to all and manipulating and threatening innocent people to death if they did not participate in the moment that he thought was the correct one. You might say that absolute power doesn 't corrupt absolute because they aren 't godlike and they they just seem that way because the can get away with things that others can’t. And that they don’t abuse their power they are just doing the “right” thing. You might even think that they don 't have an influence to make their followers do as the leader
