Born on February 12, 1809, in a one-room log house in the state of Kentucky, Lincoln was the second son of Thomas and Nancy Lincoln. He was the brother of Sahara and Thomas, who died at a young age. During his first eight years, Lincoln move from place to place due to some problems his father had with the land titles. In 1817, Lincoln moved with his family to Indiana because the laws of land ownership were much simple and protected the rightful owner.
