I will argue that abortion is wrong and shouldn’t be allowed. I am then considered pro-life. To help support me I could use information from the Roe Vs. Wade Abortion court case in 1973. Abortion is an issue because you are taking an innocent fetuses life.

A recent federal lawsuit has been filed by the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) challenging the constitutionality of three provisions of the Setonia’s Abortion Laws. The three provisions ACLU are challenging are as follows (McCauliff): • Law which prevents state health officials from renewing or issuing licenses to abortion clinics located with 2000 feet of an elementary school (McCauliff). • Law which requires physicians performing abortions to complete 10 hours annually of continuing medical education on abortion procedures (McCauliff). • Law which requires abortion providers to give every patient a copy of her medical records, regardless of whether the patient requests such records (McCauliff).

To some up the verdict it was held to not further restrict abortion during that time. O’Connor always looked over each case with an open mind and with a clear understanding of the law. The court has always made the standard for affirmative action cases, high but without O’Connor moderating influence many cases probably could have gone another way. Sandra O’Connor became the crucial fifth vote in cases that involves federalism.

You succinctly described fetal homicide laws and the different standards used. With advances in technology, medicine has taken leap and bounds in being able to see fetuses earlier through ultrasounds and keep fetuses alive who are born prematurely. Therefore, the Born-Alive Standard and the Viability Standard are outdated and difficult to hold to standard due to differences in development between fetuses. As you noted, the Conception Standard should then be utilized as the standard in fetal homicide laws which in turn will provide a strong deterrent towards violence against pregnant women. Utilizing a conception standard will cause disagreement from those who are pro-choice as they view it as infringing on standards established through Roe v. Wade (1973).

The Hyde Amendment was introduced in 1976, as pro-life legislation that prohibits federal Medicaid coverage of abortion except in cases of rape, incest and when the mother’s life in jeopardy. The Each Women Act, introduced by Barbara Lee (D-CA) would restore accesses to abortion coverage to health insurance programs managed by the federal government.

The purpose of the case is a value to my investigation as its verdict resulted in paramount reproductive independencies, demonstrating the Court’s authority over human freedoms, paired with progressiveness towards individual liberties. The content of the case is a value to my investigation as it includes several provisions expanding women’s rights, including the need for privacy, removal of limitations on the frequency of abortions and the attempts to save fetuses, demonstrating the severe lack of rights in 1985, necessitating revisions. The contents of this case is a limitation as it discusses the involvement of states and physicians to halt abortions, subsequently not focusing on actual limitations of reproductive rights, including cases in which abortion was illegal. This fails to demonstrate the full scope of restrictions on women’s rights

Before writing this essay I thought long and hard on what topic I would choose. I wanted it to be something very interesting to me and something I had knowledge about already. After reading the article “Three Legal Reasons Abortion Should Be Banned” by Kristi Burton Brown, I knew exactly what I wanted to write and what my argument would be. While writing this essay I think I had a growth mindset. Although I already had knowledge on abortions reading this article made me realize why abortions most definitely be banned.

When Norma L. McCorvey heard the news that she was pregnant with her third child at 21 years old, she attempted to get an abortion, under the story that she had been raped, as in accordance to Texas law, abortion is legal as long as the pregnancy occurred due to rape or incest. Her plan ultimately failed and she was denied the abortion, so she went to court under the alias of Jane Roe, alongside her attorney ’s Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffee.

Jindal comes from the voted top state that is pro-life for the fifth year in a row. Having this type of background proves to people that he truly has the citizen's best interest in mind. In 2014, Jindal signed the Unsafe Abortion Protection Act (HB 388), which could close three of the five abortion clinics in the state. HB 388 states that abortion providers have admitting privileges within 30 miles of a local hospital, clarifies that informed consent protections apply to both surgical abortion, as well as chemical, and that facilities that perform more than five abortions maintain proper licensing. In the case of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruled that multiple U.S. amendments give Americans the right to privacy. Although the case ruled abortion a right for women, many states still implement rules and regulations that make a professionally administered abortion very hard, if not nearly impossible to obtain (Abortion). I believe that abortion should be legalized and made readily available all over the world. The easy availability of professional abortions reduces the rate of maternal death (Abortion).

Rough Draft As human beings, it is forbidden to kill or murder people. Why should killing an innocent new soul be okay or outright legal? Every legal surgical abortion stops a beating heart and terminates a life. Killing a fetus that has a soul ready to live is morally wrong!

Abolish Abortion Did you know that just in the United States over 3,000 people have abortions every day? An abortion is when a woman is injected with a fatal substance to kill their unborn baby. It is legal in all 50 states except one type of abortion procedure; Partial-birth-abortion. Women have abortions for many reasons, some being that they are not ready for that kind of commitment or they have been raped and got pregnant. An abortion should never be an option in any case because it’s considered as murder, it causes pain to the person and baby during and after the procedure, and there are other choices to choose from including adoption.
