The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) of 1938 is a federal labor law that establishes the minimum wage, sets the overtime pay eligibility, standards of record keeping, Child Labor Protections and the Equal Pay. The fair labor standards set nationwide labor standards for all organizations engaged in interstate commerce, operations of a set size and all government agencies and had significant impact on the labor movement in the United States of America under President Franklin Roosevelt. Since the enactment of Fair Labor Standard Act, several amendments including offering an equal pay for same job done that happened in 1963.The Fair Labor Standard Act is enforced by the US department of Labor’s Employment Standards Administration. (Fair Labor Standard Act ,1938).

Explanation: I believe I would be a great addition to the staff team because of these reasons: Like I stated prior, I 'm a very kind person. I know when people are not feeling the greatest, or just need some uplifting. I 'm a very experienced Arkham member, I 've been playing the server for shortly over a year, as previously stated. I 'm also very experienced with basic-intermediate server plugins. Such as but not limited to: Worldedit, World-Guard, Essentials, Essentials-GroupManager, and a few other basic server plugins!

I can contribute my knowledge of social justice and ability to be a community servant to this organization. My long-term life goal is to become a hospital owner in multiple underrepresented areas and foreign countries. Being a community servant, one can build character while helping open doors or provide opportunities for those who are less fortunate. I’ve read the many articles of the large groups of Alpha men graduating from Meharry Medical College, that have had such a huge impact on the surrounding communities by giving a helping hand when needed. It’s the small things that count and makes me eager to join the previous groups of male leaders striving to achieve their goals, which defy all odds against

I am writing this letter to express my interest in your illustrious organization, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I am currently a senior majoring in Criminal Justice, minoring in African American Studies with aspirations of becoming a Social Justice Attorney. Born in the inner city of New York and being raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, I am not your typical Southern Belle or City girl. I like to think of myself as being a fine mix of the two. At a young age my mother groomed me into what she believed a well-rounded lady should be.

“Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave, I am the dream and the hope of the slave. I rise, I rise, I rise.,” to become a Delta Woman. When asked to express why I should be awarded the honor & pleasure of being apart this great sorority; I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed but also very humbled. However, I am reminded of the great women Delta Sigma Theta has helped mold some of the most influential women in the world.  I want to be apart of the most illustrious sorority organization.

I also believe that my time as a student ambassador on the LSUA campus and as a nursing student in clinical has allow me to gain the experience that I need in the leadership role. These are all qualities that I hope to bring with me if I am granted membership.

The National Honor Society is an opportunity for many students, who are well educated with dreams and leaderships skills, to upgrade themselves. The sole purpose of this organization is to endeavor leaders in different societies to help out their community. It will help colleges to notify the leaders when looking at students’ resumes, for those students in this organization will be the few who are well-developed leaders in their school. Since this will be the first time to be given the opportunity to contribute to this organization, I may not know everything about the requirements in which I need to manage.

I will make sure to do my part by leading by example, serving my community and school, staying true to myself, and performing in school to the best of my ability. It would be an honor to be a part of such an extraordinary program in which I can better myself and my community. I am so thankful to the many teachers who have considered me as a candidate for the National Honor Society. As I aspire to become a member of this organization, I will make it my duty to be an active member in my community and will maintain my leadership, service, character, and scholarship

To the women of the grad chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated: The purpose of this letter is to inform you of my interest in becoming a member of the grad chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated. My desire to inspire young men and women and make a significant impact on their lives is just one of many reasons I aspire to join your great sorority. While growing up at a young age my mom worked out of my sibling lives. I did not have many positive female role models I could look to for guidance in different situations.

I genuinely care about my sorority. I care about our reputation, as well as the safety and well-being of my sisters. Going through rush as a sophomore gave me a unique perspective about joining a sorority. I wasn’t there solely to make friends or go to socials and date nights. I was there to take advantage of everything a sorority had to provide for me at UGA.

Dear Members of the Selection Committee, I, Rebecca Hsu, am applying for the 2023-24 VP of Public Relations position. During my freshman year, I was hesitant to join FBLA due to personal fears and did not continue my journey here after the first meeting. This year, I was able to muster enough courage to put myself out there, join projects, and compete. My experiences this year at FBLA have shaped me in ways indescribable and built upon various skills, which I want to share with future members, by leading our chapter in a new direction.

I am interested in this position because I like to make people happy but, I really want to get involved! I have seen the sisterhood chairs in the past do amazing things for our chapter. I love the idea of a super close chapter and I would love to help achieve that. Also, I feel like all of the past Sisterhood Chairs have maintained the ideal happiness and that is what makes our chapter great. One of my weaknesses is time management.

Explain your interest in joining Phi Delta Epsilon-MA Alpha Chapter. * I want to join Phi Delta Epsilon because it would provide me the chance to build lifelong connections and gain networking opportunities. Most importantly, I see myself forming a bond with other members, studying and sharing memories of what it’s like to be a premedical student at UMass Boston. The ability to connect, strive for success and learning from others with the same goal to attend medical school is what I’m truly seeking as a hopeful applicant of PhiDE. Joining the fraternity is the beginning phase of my strenuous road to become a successful physician.

During the interview Carolina Alvarez showed excellent interpersonal and communication skills. She responded with concise, organized and well thought-out answers. The applicant showed an appropriate use of aye contact, tone/volume of speech, body language, and a caring attitude. Through specific examples Ms. Alvarez illustrated her strength and skills. She is currently the Events and Fundraising Officer of Medlife Club and the Vice President of Fellowship of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Club, which demonstrates her leadership skills.
