Compare and Contrast Essay: A Wrinkle In Time/ And Then There Were None In the movie productions of A Wrinkle In Time and And Then There Were None, the directors did not follow the original story line. The directors made some changes in the movies which did eventually end up affecting some of the movie scenes. In A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L’engle, there are many differences between the novel and the movie version. Even though there are many differences, there are also many similarities from the two. However, in the movie there are many more differences in characters and relationships, plot sequencing, and details compared to the book version. For example, how the book begins with Meg up in the attic scared to death, because of all the raining and thundering and the possible tornado. So she has to downstairs and that’s when Charles Wallace is already down there knowings she would come and prepares her a sandwich. However, in the movie it begins with Meg outside wishing for her father to come back and when she walks inside her Mother and Charles Wallace are there preparing sandwiches. Another difference is how Meg meets Calvin. In the movie she meets him by breaking up a fight between his brothers and Meg. In the novel she meets Calvin when her and Charles Wallace are walking in the woods to Mrs.Whatsit’s house. Although there are many differences between the two, there are also many similarities.
