Although I have only lived in Bridgeport for less than a year, I have visited my grandparents’ house here every summer since I was in the 3rd grade. During my trips, I became very familiar with the community, the people, and the surrounding cities. I enjoyed visiting Bridgeport to not only see my grandparents but also see my aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In the beginning, I didn’t think very highly of Bridgeport. I thought of it as a no name, small town, and I didn’t think anyone knew where it was. My perspective quickly changed when I started to become attached to the city. I became fond of our neighbors and the people we knew around town. I appreciate how close everyone is and how everyone is very considerate of those around them. I didn’t

I think it is so interesting how so many students have known each other since they were practically babies; that type of thing just doesn’t happen in San Antonio. I admire how everybody is so close to each other and even the surrounding cities such as Decatur and Denton. I also appreciate how education-oriented the city of Bridgeport is. Everyone is always willing to help out the students in anything they need.
Despite all of the great qualities that Bridgeport offers, there are a few aspects that I believe need improvement. One of those aspects includes the communication between everyone in town. From an outside perspective, you wouldn’t think that communication within such a small town would be a problem, but it is. No one really knows when anything is going on because no one thinks about spreading the word to anyone else.
I believe that good communication is a key aspect of every relationship, professional or personal. But despite this hurdle, I’m glad I’ve been able to call Bridgeport my home. Even though I don’t plan on living here my entire life, I will never forget about the wonderful moments I have experienced here, and I will forevermore admire the unity and integrity the city reflects. The city of Bridgeport, and its people, will be a distinct memory that I will always
1. Nathan brown founded New Hartford in 1849. 2. The addresses of the schools are 17 Sibley Street, and 19 School Street. 3.
The city 's hospitable and friendly character has been a big draw to the area. The city has been nationally recognized for its livability and has been ranked among Business Week Magazine 's list of Best Place to Raise
We moved here because my dad got a new job. He had to move from California to Newton. It was okay at first since we had a few family members, but after I had to go to school, I was already regretting my whole life. Until, I met some nice great friends. Then it got better that 's why I think that Newton is a great city to
We used to be so proud of our town. We kept it clean, our lawns were mowed and we had gardens in the back yards. People did everything together. We had baseball tournaments and we sponsored bingo and Keno at the old hall. That brought the town together.
So what. All I knew was that I didn’t like the idea of leaving all my friends and moving to deserted Nantucket. Google Maps barely shows the place! One of the few things that put a smile on my face was playing with my mommy and sister. One of my favorite games was hide-and-seek.
That part of city basically was on own little city inside of one, it multiple schools, grocery stores, doctor offices etc., basically all of human being necessities in order to survive and live comfortably. It wasn’t till the year of 2005 when everything drastically changed for me. Hurricane Katrina hit and caused my family to have to relocate to Houston, Texas where we spent almost 2 years being classified as a refugee. Hurricane Katrina was a push factor. Being there made me homesick.
But not by its historical background to be home of the national harbor. But instead of the bad memories of Baltimore , I
We took only the essentials and traveled to New Orleans, where family was waiting to take us in. I didn't like the idea of leaving the only home I had ever known, but I liked New Orleans all the same. During my teen years, I wrestled with the idea of returning to New York, but I found a certain comfort in NOLA and so I eventually decided to stay.
Baltimore city is a wonderful city. It really has that charm that the city is known for, unfortunately the city now has a bad reputation across country. All the negativity comes from what people watched on CNN. Many people didn 't care to know the real reason that started all of this. This city needed a their attention to be drawn to a problem that many people face.
As a young girl, around the age of 10 I lived in the Perry projects with my mother. Previously to moving there I would visit often to see my great-grandmother. When I would visit my grandmother there were not many other people that were African-American. The Commodore Perry Projects had been actually made for white people.
I grew up in Wellston, Ohio and lived in the countryside about fifteen minutes from town. My house was a home to me and it wasn 't the greatest, but it was special to me. My big backyard consisted of many fruit trees and a grape vine, it was where I had bonfires with my family and friends, and it was where I ran free with my brother. I had a pond, “over the hill” as my brother and I would say, where we swam and fished in the summertime and sat on the deck feeding bread to the bluegill as we had conversations about life. Behind our pond was where thousands of trees stood tall and where we roamed every inch of the hidden land.
I got to say, this town looked better than the previous 3 towns I moved to combined. Me and my family moves. A LOT. However, I had really hoped to stay to finish out this year.

“All adventures, especially into new territory, are scary.” is a quote that can be used to accurately describe my experience at Alice Lloyd Hall, because it was something that was new, yet frightening in the same instance. However, my overall experience at Alice Lloyd has been truly a positive one, due to the fact that I have had the chance to create new relationships, gain knowledge, and allow myself to grow as a person. Back in the beginning of my freshman year, I lived in Baits 2 housing along with three random roommates. In my opinion, due to the separated housing style of Baits, it felt impersonal and isolated; unlike Alice Lloyd, where the main aspect I love is the fact that the dorm has a social atmosphere instead.
