A Hero's Journey

Joseph Campbell’s, The Hero’s Journey, appears in the foundation of modern hero tales, such as drama, storytelling, myth, and religious rituals. The first step in The Hero’s Journey is the Departure phase, it’s where the hero has an unusual birth or early childhood and is forced to leave their everyday life to face the challenges that await them. Next, is the initiation phase, it’s where the real challenges and trials occur. The hero has a mentor or guide who gives them a special weapon or advice so that when the hero faces the darkest part, the temptation to give up or quit, they will transform and achieve their goal. Lastly, the return phase is when the hero returns home and is able to recognize the experiences the hero had in the other world.

She took another tunnel and it lead outside so she got a vine and started to climb it and held to the tree. She had been up there so long night had fallen. When dawn had awoken she awoke and looked at her surroundings. She got down and agin amusly with the arrows. She finally came to a fork in the road.

THE ADVENTURE OF THE GREAT SORCEROR In a far away place, there used to be a person called Zylem and He was a very mysterious child that used to do things that no mere mortal could do. Sometimes, when he would come home the items that he brought with him would be strange. The first one was a potion that had the ability to make anything grow two times it's size.

News reports had confirmed the reptilian invaders had landed that frigid Christmas morning with the intent to stay; they no longer wanted to negotiate, instead they declared war. Although the swelling had gone down and her vision was no longer blurry, the excruciating pain she felt in her ribs was a reminder of the fisticuffs from earlier. Escaping her apartment building had been an agonizing, bloody and chaotic journey.

The genie didn’t outset like everyone knows him, he wasn’t omnipotent or even delighted in the beginning. Throughout his life, he had to agonize and put up with many events. However, you could say those advents made him who he is. At the beginning, he was a wonted person called Khalid, who didn’t enjoy an ecstatic life. Living in the streets, he had managed to withstand over time by doing small tasks and in extreme plights, by stealing.

He wanted to prove His word that you are the chosen and to endorse holiness and devotion. See what a calamity it will be for you to lose what you have longed to have because you choose to be one of the crowd.

11:55 pm In the mess his wristwatch was the only semblance of order, the only way he could keep track of the time - the hours and minutes that passed from journey to journey, the knowledge of days, weeks or months now a relic he could only yearn to be blessed with. He didn't know how long he had been a vagrant, and right now it no longer mattered to him; however long it was it had grown amorphous and into a nagging reminder of his transient lifestyle, and now he found it all but inconsequential. He couldn't go back now - back to the hometown in which he once resided, back to the life he once lived; it was but a figment of imagination now - a nostalgic theatre so ingrained in the past it took upon an almost fictional form, like an old painting

It was only two hours since I left Mexico City but I was already gloomy. I miss Mexico City’s tropical breeze and sun-drenched skies as the cold, stale airplane air circulates around the cabin. A long nap and 13 hours later I am walking the streets of Rome. Rome’s rich historical streets fill my senses with unfamiliar culture.

By midday, hunger gnawed at my stomach and my legs cramped. My feet barely lifted with each step. With only tea for breakfast and a berry the night before, I felt so weak I could barely hold my head up. Caroob circled above me, keeping careful watch for the slightest danger. From time to time, he swooped down to me and urged me forward.

Folklore is a collection of stories passed down from generation to generation that include Legends, Myths, and Fairy Tales. Legends are usually based on some sort of historical fact, embellished retellings, real people, real places and real events. Myths are based on religion, supernatural beings and natural phenomenon. There is no way to verify claims made within it. Fairy Tales include fantastic elements, magic and imaginary creatures.

This short story begins with a man making his was through the white show and sleet of Alaska alone. The temperature is chilling and low. He is not scared or concerned in the cool temperatures as he begins his journey. He does not think about the future problems that can reveal because of the frightful situation. He is full of pride and confidence as he thinks that he will face no opposition.

Darkness. That was all I saw when I awoke. Where I laid was absent of all heat, sending multiple shivers down my spine. I tried to move, but it proved to be unsuccessful, for I could barely move a finger. I had no memory.

I have to leave. My mother was in a car accident. She needs me. Doug understands and plans to drive to the gated community where my mom lives more than an hour away from our rented bungalow in Venice. He doesn’t mind the distance despite the 405 freeway being congested at all hours of the day and night.

As the clock struck 6:45 we were all ready to start a new adventure. As we drove into Disney, we could see Cinderella’s Castle. After we parked the car we rode on the people mover that took us to Magic Kingdom. As we entered the gates, we all were really eager. We could see everything that there was to do.
