Whether it be losing a family member or a close friend, having a bad accident, or even losing everything and becoming homeless, hardships all influence a person's life, some more than others, but they all have some sort of impact. They usually can impact in a way of warning, like if someone lost a relative due to someone drunk driving, then they would know not to drink and drive, for it made their relative die, why would they want to make that happen to somebody else. Therefore, hardships can influence a person's life because they help you make better choices. Alex Gonzales, for example, is a rapper who encourages kids to stay in school and not do what he did. He grew up in the streets, so it was easy for him to get influenced by the people
I viewed Frontline a documentary series, which episode was entitled Poor Kids. The frontline personnel spent time with three children Kailey, Johnny, and Britany along with their families as they all struggle financially. We perceive a glimpse of what it is like to live below the poverty line in America through a child’s eyes. While observing the documentary, I became consciously aware that children who are considered poor or living below the poverty line were more mindful of the responsibilities of life. The children were worrisome of the lack of employment for their parents, bills, and in Britney’s case; how they would accommodate their way of living to support a new addition to the family.

This supports the theme of overcoming adversity to be stronger, as you can become a better person, have a healthier mindset, and be aware of or try to prevent future hardships. The use of the noun “confidence” adds on to the statement, supporting the theme of positive self improvement. Moreover, this also proves that over the course of overcoming hardships, you gain skills and change for the
Each year, a pool of thousands of homeless youth get commonly overlooked and misjudged throughout the United States. “In the 2013-2014 school year alone, it was reported that there were approximately 1.3 million homeless youth enrolled in the public-school system” (United States). Despite the enormous number of children homelessness affects, the public eye remains ignorant on the topic. Some people try to go blind to the number while others decide to look down upon those it hurts, rather than assessing and improving the situation. Until society gains knowledge of both the causes and effects these adolescents face daily, the ever-growing epidemic will continue to show no signs of improvement.
Hardships are: tests that show your worth. They are occasions to show who you truly are. You are either a person who succeeds in the attempt or fails. In life with no struggles there's no gain because we learn from our struggles.
Adversity can take us by surprise, but everyone at some point in life experiences it. The way our personal identity can be shaped is through our phases of adversity. The experiences of dealing with difficulties can shape the way we view life and the actions that will show our persona. When we persevere adversity and obstacles it shows our reputation and our true type of identity. In the play Hamlet, William Shakespeare, illustrates the way Hamlet, as well as other characters, deal with adversity through the types of motives they are seeking.

Different racial and socioeconomic backgrounds take a massive toll on the American nation - in moral, civic and economic terms (Kopp 2012). In fact, children living in struggle during formative years affect their life and attitude (“Jonathan Kozol” 2012). Most family’s situation is too honest to have to panhandle in the street. The cruel fact caused that those poor children cannot accept a well education. It is a crucial reminder that most economically disadvantaged children will not overcome their circumstances unless we commit ourselves to systemic changes and eliminate the root causes, from poverty to segregation (Kopp 2012).
In our everyday life, all individuals are obliged to be successful. People work hard on a daily basis looking for money, education, power, perfect relationships with others. However, only a small number of people considers the exact meaning of love. Failure to determine what success means have led to people climbing the wrong ladder.
