Darren Grine is a poet and member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe. His inspiration derives from the history and culture of his Sioux heritage, especially in the symbols of the wolf and buffalo. He is a native of Colorado and holds a B.S. Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion and Recreation with a minor in education from Colorado State University-Pueblo.

Awards and Honors

Certificate of Recognition from The Writing Across the Curriculum Task Force and Southern Colorado Teacher Education Alliance for Commendable Achievement, 2004. Capps Capozzolo Award For Academic Excellence, 2005.
